Wow, were we disappointed. My Gnocchi was drenched in olive oil, could not even eat. The only thing decent were the french fries. Our waiter was not attentive or friendly. We were so excited to go and so disappointed with our outcome! more

We went at noon on a Friday and the restaurant filled up quickly. But it was disconcerting to have the table which was seated next to us, and seated after we were seated, to be served their lunch orders before ours. We seemed to be in the "safe to ignore" status as our server went for the more tables/less service... more
Great restaurant-great service. You can see the attention to detail under Thomas Keller's hand. Get the steak and frites. I loved it, as opposed to Redd. more
Fantastic and open past 9pm. We went twice in three days. Fantastic muscles/frites and the sweetbreads alone are worth the trip. more

the best steak I've ever had! more

Since French Laundry is a little out of my price range ($$$$) I figured I would try the next best thing. To my surprise I was highly disappointed and embarrassed to say the least. My in-laws decided to join... more
Favorite among favorites as an authentic French bistro right down to the pomme frites. Lively bar scene, great wine list. more
