Went for dinner. Ordered shrimp / veggie tempura, karaage chicken, and high roller sushi. Tempura was good and crunchy. Karaage was not that great. It was like plain fried chicken. It tasted like they used tempura batter on the chicken. Plus they gave us tonkatsu sauce to use with with it.....not the norm karaage. Sushi roll was just ok. The... More

Nice sushi with brown rice option. Good selection of rolls. Service was slow though and then they tried to rush me out when a line started to form.

Very good sushi and sashimi plus a varied menu of other Japanese foods -- and at a reasonable price. We had excellent service. I really give this place a 4.5. I return again and again.

Sushi Mambo is in downtown Napa and in a great location. The restaurant was nicely decorated and we were welcomed the moment we walked in the door. It was a slow Thursday evening with only 3 tables seated. We sat at the sushi bar and that's when we realized the service was going to be poor. The sushi chef was... More

I don't love being tied down to a set schedule by reservations, so it was nice to be able to just walk into this place and get a table. But I think I know why...the food was just ok. My boyfriend and I both got a bento box special, and it was no comparison to my local suburban Virginia Japanese... More

Honestly, the best sushi I've ever had. If you are looking for sushi, I highly recommend! I am visiting for 6 days and had to go back! I ordered the San Francisico roll and the Sunny California roll. Both were out of this world! So delicious. We sat at the sushi bar, where they make the sushi right there in... More

The location is excellent and the interiors are nice. The service is a bit slow and the food just OK. Price not exactly cheap and more than the quality would let you expect.

Friendly staff, fresh fish and much more reasonable than other sushi places in Napa. A locals hangout.

Bottom line, go here when you have some time. Sushi can be expensive and this one is not cheap. And it might take a minute for your food to be served. Very creative rolls that have good sushi combos and are very tasty. This place has been a favorite for sushi in Napa for a long time. Small restaurant owned... More

It's not the best place in downtown Napa, but if you're looking for a cheaper alternative, it's a good option. They're rolls are medium size. They've got some "classic" rolls as well as some strange twists (we got one that had crab, lobster, salmon, yellow tail and a few other things I think...basically the whole kitchen sink was in it,...
