While this is a very good place to eat, it's hard to see how it could be rated #1. The food varies, from a poorly conceived and odd tasting fried amuse bouche one evening, to a very tasty and original swordfish dish that suffered from such small thin swordfish that it was inevitably too dry. The recession seems to have... more

We went to Allegria on our first night in Napa on our honey moon. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. She suggested a wine choice and also gave us a complementary appetizer. We ordered the teriyaki skirt steak and the veil. Both were wonderful! The steak was melt in your mouth goodness with mashed potatoes and cooked veggies. Could... more

We came here a week ago Sunday nite for an early dinner after a late lunch, so we just got a heirloom tomato salad and some appetizers (crab cakes and spring rolls). It was all delicious. A beautiful big room, with oversized wine bottles everywhere, even on the tables to split into smaller sections, almost like booths. But then we... more

We were excited to visit Allegria after reading all of the great reviews on Trip Advisor, but felt disappointed with our visit. The food was fine but nothing special; we shared a mussel appetizer, I had a ravioli entree, my husband had lamb, and we shared gelato for dessert. My ravioli had shrimp and scallops in it, but the shrimp... more

Food was pretty good Italian-style food. The food was properly priced. Drinks were a little pricey ($9 for a drink). Service was very good, and so was the ambiance. The portions were kind of small, but the quality was decent. Dessert was excellent. more

This place was incredible. I went with my mom during a girls weekend, and there is literally nothing negative I can say. First of all, we went on a Wednesday night, and they had an accordion player! He was awesome! The service was excellent . Our waitress, Krista ( I think), was probably one of the best I've ever had...she... more

Would not recommend this place at all. The atmosphere presents as an upscale italian restaurant, but the quality of the food does not bear this out. Our bread was subpar, and the meal was tasteless. The bruschetta was limp, soft, and soggy, and the toppings were old and bland - not impressive in a region known for its fresh produce.... more

We enjoyed the top service, rich atmosphere and delicious meal. The pasta was excellent and we were treated to a complimentary appetizer. Can't wait to go back. more

We did not have a reservation either time we were there, but the first time we were seated in about 15 minutes. Last weekend the wait was supposed to be 45min, so we sat at the bar, and the bartender chilled an poured wine we'd brought (no corkage fee w/ TASTE card), after the bottle was done, the waitress said... more

Husband and I had a very enjoyable and memorable dining experience here at the Allegria. The food EXCELLENT, from the antipastas - to the main course. Great desserts - a bit pricey but very, very good. We visited Napa for 5 days and I literally wanted to eat here every day; but of course had to try other restaurants. We... more
