This was our 4th time on the Wine Train and I'm still impressed; my husband and I both enjoy the trip, the food served by our very professional waiter, Gerald, in the Vista Dome car. We live 2 to 2-1/2 hours away and when we come to Napa for wine tasting, we seem to find ourselves wanting to take the... More

And good wine of course! This was just an enjoyable experience from the group snapshot in the beginning right until the very end. A slow leisurely trip through wine country enjoying excellent food (11 in our group & not one bad meal!) and the company of good friends & family. Our server Rick had all the right answers for our... We booked the Champagne Vista Dome Dinner on the Napa Wine Train. We were told to check in by 5:00 for the 6:30 departure. I think it was just so we would spend time in their small wine and gift shops. We checked in and waited until the letter of our boarding group was called. It was just my husband... More

Loved, loved, loved the train ride, the wine and the cuisine. You won't want to miss the nostalgic ride in a pullman or a locomotive. Such a nice memory to make while having a great meal with great company of your choice.

We commented about how we loved one of the cheeses we were served and the waiter brought out several more servings. That service and the quality food made the trip very enjoyable. The stewards' historical tidbits and wine country stories put it over the top. First rate!

We made reservations for Napa Train prior to our wine country trip. The booking and boarding process went smoothly. The staff escorted us to the beautifully restored club lounge for drinks prior to departure; however, due to mechanical problems the train did not start. After an hour the trip was canceled, we were escorted off the train and promptly given... More

Maybe we had to high expectations me and my wife but this was pretty darn boring. You basically ride a train which goes just next to one of the main roads into Napa Valley. You see cars and backyards half of the time. The food and vine is ok but nothing over the top. We actually considered to jump of... More

The food and staff were great - truly gourmet - and we recommend the Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. (Please see our review of this tour in the "Attraction" section of this web site.)

Chose the dome car that costs extra, but worth it! Food surprisingly good to excellent and outstanding service, wine list and views. A very unique and rewarding experiance. Don't miss if you have the time.

Treated my husband for his bday to the ambassador trip with vista dome car- loved the old train car- I didn't like that we were told to ck in at 1030- felt like a lot of wasted time waiting to board- but enjoyed the food. Enjoyed the scenery, loved the Raymond winery tour- thought the ZD tour paled in comparison.... More
