Good ole days

This was our first trek to the new location and while it was good, I did not leave with the same special feeling I always had when leaving the old location. Part of my issue, I think, is the new space is not as intimate and to me it was almost cold and institutional. The food was good but no... read more

Food served a small tastings in four or five courses at a fixed price all big with pairing of wine. The food and wine pairing is excellent with attention to presentation and service,... More

We have dined in Michelin-starred restaurants elsewhere, and experienced superlative service, meals we can still savour in our memories. La Toque is best forgotten. Here, the service was barely adequate for such a restaurant. But it was the food that was a total let- down. While the beef carpaccio starter was adequate, the salad was tasteless- it seemed they had... More

There were six of us dining here, and no one raved about the food. The menu was confusing and elaborate, but we finally figured it out. The three savory courses were average, but actually so small that all you really got was a tiny taste. I am not into huge portions, and I usually always have to take half of... More

I took my family there for a reunion but we order 3 course meal for 4 people but we got charge 4 course meal for 4 . They told us the amount of food on the dish will be different depend on the person size. What an excuse - so inconsistent . I would never recommend anyone to go here... More

Had a nice truffle tasting dinner. Very good food, nice service and friendly atmosphere. Good selection of half bottles on the wine list. If they used truffles from Alba (white) I would rate the restaurant 5 out of 5, but now you are in Napa.......

A superb dining experience. The service was seamless, the food preparation flawless, the wine selection beyond compare. And while not inexpensive, the $80 4 course tasting menu was beautifully presented and plenty of food, although each course was very well balanced. Relaxed but very polished service made the time fly by (almost 3 hours). Food presentation was art, and the... More

Admittedly, we do head to La Toque for special occasions. But in between, we also cherish the evenings when we just feel like being pampered. La Toque is the right place to go for that quintessential upscale Napa dining experience. Kenn Frank knows how to combine the most delicious and tasteful flavors and create the most appetizing presentation as well.... More
