Leaving Walnut Creek with friends for a day trip to Napa, we booked lunch at Tarla. We had small plates of very well prepared Mediterranean food. There was extraordinary attention to detail in the preparation and the presentation of each dish. The wait staff was great, treating each of us as if we were family. Kudos to Tarla!

My partner and I decided to check out Tarla after reading some reviews on the internet. We were happy with the meal. We started with the dolmas (yum!) and a cheese dip, which were both good. I had the musakka and my partner had the lamb burger. I loved my dish, so I would recommend Tarla to anyone in the... More

A lot of culinary finesse happening in this kitchen! The lamb kabobs, roasted vegetable soup, spanakopita (spinach pie), and garbanzo bean soup were all excellent!! All local, organic which may be part of the secret. Very laid back atmosphere and good pour on the drinks. Our waiter, Cengiz was friendly, prompt and very informative. If you like Mediterranean, don't hesitate!

Met friends there on Saturday for lunch. Nice quiet place with decent atmosphere. Centrally located downtown. Street parking was not abundant but found one within 2 blocks, as did our friends. My wife and I shared the mixed appetizer plate. ($21) It was very good, though it could have been larger for that price. The Bahba Gnoush was excellent as... More

The foods were tiny tiny portions of heaven. They tasted absolutely amazing, although I wish the portions were larger. The staff were nice and friendly

Tarla is centrally located on a main street in Napa close to the new waterfront area. It serves some of the best Mediterranean food available in wine country. Very unpretentious atmosphere, great service, and wonderfully prepared dishes. We tried the wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil. It was full of flavor with a generous serving of mushrooms. The dolma were... More

The Saganaki was one of the best I ever had. They have a lot of vegetarian starters and entrees.Tarla is a little at the end of First street.

WE got here late on a Monday evening, when it was very quiet, and we were treated very well. There was no feeling of any resentment at keeping the staff late on a slow night. The saganaki was a first-rate appetizer. I wish I'd written this reviewer earlier, when I still remembered what we had for our main courses, but... More

This was a good place to eat since I was craving Mediterranean food. We split a few salads, the beet salad was delicious, if small, and the Barley salad was also good but not nearly as tasty as the Been salad. We also split a Spinach Pie (Spanakopita) which was nice as well. The portions were small and the prices... More
