Since the earthquake destroyed their building, Carpe Diem has relocated to a quiet corner over at Oxbow market. For out-of-towners, this is a nice place to spend a leisurely afternoon. But for locals who knew the former location, this is much more subdued of a location, and much smaller. Still the same good wine selection. But miss the old haunt.

Temporary digs for Carpe Diem, after being displaced by the August 2014 earthquake in Napa, give Oxbow Market visitors a real treat. A limited but high caliber menu gives a nice variety of options. Tonight's special was Fish and Chips but the highlight for me was the Truffle French fries...outstanding and a large enough serving to share (though you may... More

Since their original location was wiped out by an earthquake, Carpe Diem moved temporarily to the Oxbow Public Market, a great barn of a place with a few eateries and lots of expanded booths with mostly food-oriented offerings. The menu is inventive; we had BBQ chicken tamales, which were more chicken than masa, which we welcomed. Interesting selection of unusual... More

Reserved well in advance, this place is so busy. We arrived a seated right on time and were served with one of the Greatest experiences of our vacation. Service, Food and atamosphere were extremely good. Menu could be expanded but had everything we wanted. Look forward to next visit.

The food is really terrific and unusual. Mediterranean choices that I haven't seen before and love trying. Nice wine list. Avoid the bar for dining unless you don't mind being ignored. It's busy, noisy and service isn't as good as in the dining room where it's excellent. I highly recommend.

We went to this restaurant when we first arrived in town. We had no reservation and the restaurant was packed. The hostess did a great job finding us a table. We had several apps with wine. Ther service was very friendly and knowledgable of the wine list. We had a great experience and went back a second time before leaving... More

I went here on a girl's trip to Napa Valley. The good is fabulous. Sharing portions. The setting is intimate and super cute. Our server, Christa, was phenomena! It was my 30th bday and we got free champagne. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better server. Cheers to you, Christa!

We went to Carpe Diem the night before the earthquake. The service was excellent and our server suggested a great bottle of wine that was not too pricey. Also we had the quack n cheese, the crab stuffed squash blossoms, the scallops, the ostrich burger and for dessert - the homemade twix bar. The food overall was excellent! I have... More

Recommended by staff at hotel. Food was great and the wait staff was very efficient. Unfortunately the building in which this restaurant is housed was heavily damaged by the recent earth quake so it might be a while until others can enjoy this place.

The vibe is hip, the service is friendly. The food is excellent. Don't miss the housemade burrata if you go. It's incredible. The shaved broccoli salad is also unique and delicious. It's small, so make sure to make resos in advance.
