The place was decorated contemporary, but with lures (???). Very good wine list, and we both had the Sole dish, which was served on top of a German potato salad. Tasted great!

We had dinner here by recommendation of our hotel concierge, and loved it. The oysters were delicious and the tuna belly salad was a delightful spin on a Niçoise, one of my favorites, and was incredibly delicious! Our server, who was engaging and entertaining, recommended a fish from Hawaii I had not had, and it was amazing, exactly as she... More

We at here on our last night in town. It was a cool evening but we wanted to eat outside next to the river. They turned on the heaters for us and it was perfect. The menu was seasonal and our food was delicious. Service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry to leave.

We took our son-in-law to the wine country for his birthday and finished a busy day with dinner in Napa. It was “Crush” weekend and their had been a festival in the downtown area which worked to our advantage because we had no problem being seated at the restaurant even though we had no reservations. I had never tried (actually... More

On a recent visit, we 4 dined at Fish Story on our first night in Napa. Thankfully we were either early enough, or it was a Wednesday, because we didn't have a reservation and we were seated immediately outside overlooking the Napa River. The food was very good - mostly seafood, hence the name - and my mahi was prepared... More

Staff is very friendly. We were seated outside along a walkway overlooking the Napa River. I found the ambiance nice and noise was moderate, appropriate for the dining experience. Nice wine selection. Appetizers were green salad and oysters. There were several options for oysters, or you could order a chef's selection which included three types of oysters. Mains were scallops... More

We had a nice lunch here with a party of seven recently. They were very accommodating and the service was top notch. We had a variety of items for lunch in our group, including fish and chips, cod sandwich, their seasonal mushroom salad and the chilled smoked tomato soup. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was tasty. The beer... More

I had the opportunity to visit "Fish Story" last weekend, at the recommendation of the Concierge at the Meritage Resort where I was spending the weekend. I started my meal with "Chilled Smoked Yellow Tomato Soup" which is served cold. I've found cold soups to be difficult to prepare and serve correctly and I enjoy saying this one was superb!... More
