I went there with high hopes, but the food was just average. My huckleberry milkshake was rather flavorless, and the service was not that great. It was not awful, but I doubt that I'll go back.

This is another great Black Bear Diner like the one in Sonoma. You get friendly service, a pleasant wood-themed interior, and great comfort food. Most popular are the breakfasts and my favorite is the Shasta Scramble, a two-egg omelette with vegetables. These breakfasts cost about $12 per person with coffee.

We loved the breakfast choices here. It was great food at good prices and the service was friendly! Take a look at my pictures ---doesn't everything look soooo good! The pancakes had a heavenly slight vanilla-y flavor and scent --omg --SO incredibly good ----you didn't even need syrup or butter!! The décor of this place was cool, too --kind of... More

Our hotel recommend the Black Bear Diner for a good meal - they were right. The diner has a character all of it's own and is frequented by local, I can see why. The servers are clad in country suspenders and they all make you feel at home. I must warn you, the servings are large, more then I could... More

When we go on vacation we try to visit non-chain restaurants. We found a fun one in Napa, CA. The restaurant is large, the restrooms are clean and the menu is what you'd expect. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with good prices. I had the Little Less tuna fish sandwich with fries. I'd hate to see what a Little More sandwich... More

Our first night in Napa and we had no idea where to eat. We drove around the "downtown" Napa area and didn't know what we had a taste for so ended up driving back towards our hotel and came across Black Bear Diner...so glad we did. It has a family restaurant feel but the food was so much better than... More

The breakfast was excellent and the service prompt. Good environment for families. Went on two separate occasions and was pleased both times.

My wife and I were visiting Napa and decided to stop here for breakfast based on internet reviews. We were both impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness, quantity and quality of the meal. I had ordered eggs benedict and my wife had eggs and potatoes. We both left full. In looking at some of the other items going by the table... More

Wasn't quite sure what to expect when visiting this diner, but have to say was pleasantly surprised! The welcome and waitress service was excellent, with our waitress helping with the menu, recommendations and generally making us feel welcome. The food portions were huge! The meatloaf was excellent, as was the huckleberry ice cream!
