All but excellent

The only reason I didn't rate this excellent was that over zealous wait staff kept wanting to take possibly finished with plates as if the kitchen needed them elsewhere. Apart from that everything was top notch. We had the tasting menu with the matched wines and enjoyed every mouthful. The... read more

This is a very popular and busy restaurant, but the menu is way beyond sushi. Great variety and many hard choices. Our server helped us make this a memorable experience by making sure we found the best they had to offer for our preferences.

We had dinner here the night before my daughter's wedding. There were 18 of us and we had to be split into two tables but we knew that ahead of time. The food was outstanding and service was excellent.

So disappointed! Brought a chef-friend in from out-of-town after raving about the food only to be completely let down by the kitchen. The service was almost perfect...we sat without menus or water for way too long, other than that it was great. The food though, yikes. The 'spicy crab legs' should have been called 'old spicy crab legs', sorry chef,... More

The food was amazing! I shared the plates with my husband like tapa style. We had the toro tartare and it was amazing, we also tried the lamb carpaccio and it had a strong, but delicious taste. As an entree I had the black cod which basically melts in your mouth. For desert we had the chocolate sphere and it... More

We are here our last night in Napa. Our concierge had made reservations for us and we were seated fairly promptly. We ordered drinks and apps - the sticky ribs, rock shrimp tempura and a special spicy scallop roll. The ribs are AMAZING - one of the best things I have ever eaten. The shrimp was good. And then we... More

You can get sushi anywhere. Do the tasting. Why not experience the awesomeness of an Iron Chef. They even have Snake River Farms meat on their menu. They had it on the tasting. We took three hours to enjoy one the best meals we had ever had. So many courses, we almost forgot what we ate first.

The restaurant is gorgeous. We started with hibachi tacos. You MUST get them. We each had sushi rolls, which were so fresh! We finished with the smore dessert. It was soooo good. The waiter was great. Perfect dinner!

We went to this restaurant on a recommendation from some locals we met. They said that this is the place to g for appetizers and cocktails. I would say if you like loud techno music and overpriced drinks go ahead. The rock shrimp appetizer we had was very good but the drinks we just ok. In the end we had... More
