Great ambience and really good food

Beautiful restaurant. In a modern complex right on the Napa River. Open and airy, modern minimalist design. Really good and innovative entrees. Outstanding and memorable, everything was fresh and prepared perfectly.

I will just start by saying that I have been a huge fan of Chef Morimoto from the time Iron Chef was first showing. I knew he had a restaurant in Napa but I rarely travel that far north so it just hadn't been practical to make it there until now. We arrived a bit early to the restaurant but... More

We went to Morimoto's with friends after asking for a recommendation from our cab driver. We were promptly greeted and seated (with no reservation) and had such a creative delicious meal! We went with the 'Chef selection' meal, which basically is an 8 course meal that the chef chooses for you based on fresh available ingredients and your personal preferences.... More

We had reservations for dinner on a Friday night for my birthday dinner. When we requested outdoor seating it extended our wait time. The front of the house hostess seemed unconcerned. As expected, the food was creative and delicious, despite the cold reception. I recommend the s'mores dessert selection!

Food is great, although I felt like I was paying for the decor more than anything due to the prices.

Got 2 seats at the bar. All the waiters helped us with drinks, sushi. Very friendly, quick service and delicious food!

The Napa Valley has no shortage of upscale restaurants serving multi-course tasting menus. While certainly not cheap, Morimoto offers a great experience that stands out from the crowd. Each of the courses on the tasting menu (priced at $120/person), was unique and was well themed Asian fusion cuisine. I hope that they continue to keep up the high quality as... More

Well, the dishes are expensive, as it is a boutique japanese restaurant. The staff is friendly enough, and they explain the dishes they are putting on your table, which is nice. I booked in advance, as I know it could get packed within a couple of hours. Food is good, tasty, sushi menu is broad and exotic. Overall, a nice... More

When you pay this much for sushi it better be dam good. Add in some interesting drinks. The negative... Every east coast foodie taking photos there dishes. Chatting about how wonderful and exciting it is to be eating at an iron chefs place. OMG Enjoy the moment and don't ruin it for me
