We found this place on my phone and what a great place !! The waiter and the owner were very accommodating. It hadn't rained in Napa for awhile and we were caught in the rain at the restaurant after lunch. It was very relaxing to sit and watch the rain and also have a wonderful lunch and some wine to... Came by for lunch. Ordered the burger and fries. The burger was very good (I got cheese and bacon as well). I also liked the homemade pickles. However, the Heinz ketchup served in a ramekin was a cheat. And the "parmesan fries" were tepid and flavorless - really a disappointment. Can't have a great burger without great fries as well.... An OK place. We were here with a group of 12 which does put some stress on a restaurant. The special was a pork chop which had Great flavor but was tough as shoe leather. One of us had a tamale which was no where nearly as good as the food at the Oxbow Market at lunch. I realize this... More
Relaxed atmosphere, great choice on menu and great food. Waitress was knowledgable and fun! Also good for gluten free as most of the menu was suitable or adaptable. Would highly recommend!
First trip to Napa, California, after living in the San Francisco Bay Area and central coast since 1972! We were there for a concert at the nearby Uptown Theater. Excellent, attentive service, great food. We had an assortment of appetizers as neither of us was starving. We had a delightful cornbread with lavender honey butter and watercress, tomato bisque soup... More
One of our favorite places to eat - it always does a very fine job with food and service. Our server has been there for years - always a good sign. We had a great dinner, ordering one of our favorites - steak and fries. I tried the salad special - César salad made with chicories - it was delicious.... More
Stopped in for lunch and had a great meal. I had the Kobe burger, perfectly prepared with parm fries and pickled veg. Loved their homemade pickles. I requested tomato on the side and got wonderful heirloom tomatoes. Husband that the pork tamale, which was wonderful great balance of meat, cheese or cornmeal. Service was very good and overall it was a... More
Our breakfast was good but spoiled by the number of flies in the dining room. I lost count at 10. They opened up the sliding doors that make it seem like everyone is eating outside and it helped lower the numbers of flies. The food was good but not great. The fruit garnishes on the plates seemed dried out. I... More
We were just driving through Napa looking for breakfast/lunch, and came across a small corner restaurant that was packed and had a line. Who could resist? It was delicious and different and we wish it was in Ohio where we live. Everything on the menu looked good. Breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner.the ingredients were fresh and local and cooked wonderfully.... More
