We recently were staying in Napa, and wanted a casual, yet nice lunch, and we stumbled into The Norman Rose Tavern. Very cool vibe with a nice bar. Hubs and I elected to sit at the bar and the bartender was very nice and attentive. I had a Cosmo to drink and ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Hubby had beer... More

We ate here on our first night in Napa. Service was excellent, food was good quality, good choice of drinks, only negative was perhaps the portion side was on the small side. Would definitely return here

The place was packed on a Thursday night, but the friendly staff told us it wouldn't be long, & it wasn't. My lamb burger & truffle parmesan fries were out of this world. The other 4 women enjoyed their dinners too, including the meatloaf ,the winter vegetable soup & the perfectly roasted asparagus. Yum!

Order them. Seriously. You think you hate them but they (alone) will be the best lunch you've ever had.

This place is great. Sat on the heated patio and chose from a great local wine selection. Meatloaf is fantastic and friends enjoyed a variety of sandwiches. One of the best in Napa for a casual not-so-stuffy night out.

Probably one of the better dining experiences we had, though one of us didn't much like the meat loaf. I had Dungeness crab louie salad, which was simple, excellent, fresh. Prices asre reasonable, and the vibe in the room is pleasant. Staff was excellent, attentive. Go try the crab.

This was the second time I've been in Napa and eaten here this year. Creative down home cooking complimented with good wine or a favorite cocktail. Although this could be interpreted as a sports bar, it's truly a tavern where friends meet for good conversation. Delicious Mac/Cheese, fried egg sandwich, chili, buttermilk fried chicken . . .it keeps going. The... More

I loved this place. I stopped in by myself and just wanted a drink and a quick meal. I had the chips with homemade french onion dip, WOW! soooo good. I also had the lamb burger which was also delicious but I was so full from the chips that I took the burger to go. The service was great, very... More
