Located in the heart of downtown Napa's West End District, the Norman Rose Tavern is that comfortable spot where you can meet family and friends for a nice cocktail, pint or glass of wine paired with a great burger and fries or other classic, American comfort food. The menu takes a local, sustainable approach to time-honored dishes like fish & chips, fried chicken, chop salad, mac and cheese, and much more, all prepared utilizing the fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients found in the North Bay. The design offers a rustic pub feel with modern touches created by Kimberly Nunn and Dan Worden of Shopworks in Napa. The thoughtful beverage list sports a collection of cocktails, wines and beers that soar two or three levels above most, with many outstanding and well priced Napa Valley wines. The by-the-glass list is impressive as well with over twenty wines by the glass. An extensive spirits list featuring classic cocktails round out the offerings.

My husband and I stopped in for a late lunch after wine tastings. The patio area is very cozy and our server was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the goat cheese appetizer which we enjoyed with local beers. Great drink selections! And for dinner the fish and chips! Very fresh fish with a crunchy batter. We would... More

Had early dinner here. The roasted nuts were awesome in flavor, even if a bit messy to eat. We had fried egg sandwich and the house chili. Sandwich was great but the chili was a bit on the watery side and was good, not great. Service started out well but then our server disappeared completely and we had to flag... More

This spot has great burgers and beers. A little slow on service but worth the wait. I recommend. Especially if you are tired if all the wine tasting and just need a beer! Cheers

We took a spur of the moment drive up to Napa to see the sites and get some lunch. We decided to eat here. The food was good, the prices a little high but our server was slow. I had to ask for water more than once. Had to ask another server to ask him for our check after we... More

Visited with my daughter last week for lunch. The grilled cheese sandwich was served with this spicy tomato chunky salsa. Perfect size sandwich....not too big. Get the truffle fries too. Casual place, sports TVs, green leather booths...very relaxing.

Awesome, juicy burgers! Asked for medium temp and they were done perfectly. Fast, efficient service, cute atmosphere, great fries -got both truffle/pram fries and sea salt/ black pepper. Go here!
