It was on a Monday evening and most of our go to places were closed. So I has heard good things about Norman Rose. Maybe they were short staffed, or the regular chef was off that night, but it was not a good experience. Our server seemed to alone in a large room, and outdoor seating. The menu was interesting... It is very unfortunate that such a disrespectful person is part of their management staff. I simply alerted our sever that I believed our order was wrong and the manager, John condescendingly told me that I was mistaken. He said, "I was standing right there and heard the whole conversation. You didn't order that". I would never recommend this restaurant... More

Walking the streets of Napa and just turned to one of the locals and asked where he would go for lunch. He walked us over to the Norman Rose Tavern. Nice lunch. Try the Spinach and Goat Cheese with Toasted Bread. Fantastic. Had some Gourmet Burger that was great. Wife had the two Slider appetizer. Wine list was nice. Service... More

Was told by a local that the lamb burgers were great, not sure if their idea of great would coincide with mine. Maybe you get to expect something exceptional when someone gives high praise to a particular dish. Was somewhat disappointed as the home made burgers our friends made previously were so much better. Quite expensive for what is just... More

Very very good burger; amazing truffle fries nice and soft and not crispy with some grease and salty ! Wow! Staff works like a ballet along with kitchen - I have to say they have the machine nicely oiled as things really flowed tonight and the staff was really engaging. . .I can't believe it but I will be back... Cost of the food was very expensive; not worth the price. The drinks were not good at all. A long island ice tea should never taste like alcohol and all you could taste was the tequila. My husband and I were there for our 1 year anniversary and it was not what we were expecting. If you want a experience... More

We had a great night here. Only popped in for a pre-dinner drink but had such a nice time we decided to stay for dinner. Efficient and friendly service, delicious cocktails and amazing burgers. I had the fish burger and my husband had the regular. Will definitely be back.

When I am craving a burger, Norman Rose is where I head. I had a burger the first time I ate here and loved and have stuck with it. I can't speak to anything else on the menu because I am just that much in love with their burger.

We stopped for dinner at the Tavern and really enjoyed the ambiance and servings. Dinners are very reasonably priced and well portioned. Good wine and beer selections. Outdoor seating is nicely protected and a good place to spend an evening. We had a variety of salads, sandwiches, and desserts and all were excellently prepared and presented. Would gladly return.

what a place! we came here 3 times during our trip. First time was afternoon soccer game, the place was packed, and yet we were placed at a cool side long table like a bar that had a view of the kitchen and the tv. we started with fried Green tomatoes, sooo good! with a special sauce that is truly...
