Located in the heart of downtown Napa's West End District, the Norman Rose Tavern is that comfortable spot where you can meet family and friends for a nice cocktail, pint or glass of wine paired with a great burger and fries or other classic, American comfort food. The menu takes a local, sustainable approach to time-honored dishes like fish & chips, fried chicken, chop salad, mac and cheese, and much more, all prepared utilizing the fresh, seasonal and quality ingredients found in the North Bay. The design offers a rustic pub feel with modern touches created by Kimberly Nunn and Dan Worden of Shopworks in Napa. The thoughtful beverage list sports a collection of cocktails, wines and beers that soar two or three levels above most, with many outstanding and well priced Napa Valley wines. The by-the-glass list is impressive as well with over twenty wines by the glass. An extensive spirits list featuring classic cocktails round out the offerings.

With a very inviting ambiance, this place is great for a good meal at a very reasonable price. Specializing in comfort foods (meatloaf on a bed of mashed potatoes, burgers and sandwiches, amazing fries made several different ways), this place is a nice contrast to the little bits of food you eat when wine tasting.

Just enjoyed a delicious dinner here, had the pan roasted half chicken - well presented, delicious and top service. I would definitely recommend coming here. Sat by their kitchen and was very impressed with the many great looking dinners that were prepared.

I just returned from the Norman Rose Tavern and while I also visited Morimoto's, The Hunter Gatherer and Torc this week, NRT beat them all. My wife and I visited on a Sunday evening and the tavern was welcoming, warm and service was great. We had the goat cheese and spinach dip which was wonderful along with the chili and... More

Highly recommended spot for lunch. The Shepard's pie was one of the best ever, made with tender lamb as it should be. My husband had the ahi tuna special, also very good. Service is excellent and the location couldn't be better.

We were staying in Napa at the Andaz which is right across the street. We stopped in for a drink on our way to another restaurant and decided to come back the next day. We were not disappointed! We had a spinach salad which was fresh and delicious. I had a burger with cheddar, bacon and an organic egg...it was... More

We had wanted to visit the Norman Rose during our trip as it looked really nice inside, but unfortunately it was closed Christmas Eve / Christmas Day. We managed to call by once it reopened for a drink which was very pleasant. It seemed to be well supported by locals.

Great food! I ordered the chopped grilled chicken salad and it was wonderful. So much flavor, I was very impressed! Husband ordered the flatiron steak and mashed potatoes. That was wonderful as well - cooked perfectly! For dessert we ordered the peanut butter blondie, and it was great as well, just wished it had more ice cream. :) definitely recommend... More

My wife and I recently joined a friend for a late dinner at Norman Rose in Napa. The service was great and the food was very good. My wife had the fish sandwich, my friend had the chili, and I had the fish and chips. All dishes were fresh and tasty. I would definitely recommend this place as a casual,... More
