Housed in the Oxbow Market, serving up fresh oysters with brews or wine at a bar setting. This place is very popular

We had seen a segment on a television food show about HIO. Our schedule permitted time to stop by and it was worth it. It's located in a food mall/market. Lot's of place to find goodies. Hog Island was towards the back. We sat at the "U" shaped counter that surrounds the shucking and cooking areas. We ordered two rounds... More

A seafood lovers paradise, particularly and obviously oysters. Whilst not the cheapest of lunch options at the Oxbow, it is certainly one of (no doubt the) best. Super fresh oysters, chowder, mussels and salads. A refreshing lunch option in wine country.

I had to go to the Oxbow to see all that's there. We wandered around for quite awhile, just looking and enjoying, and my beautiful daughter settled at the bar (which is this restaurant). We had eaten once at the one at the Ferry Building in San Francisco and knew they had extremely high quality foodstuffs, so it was an... More

If you like oysters this place is amazing. Other options are available like steamed clams and other great salads. However the reason to go here is oysters. Ask the staff about the daily offerings, pick accordingly and enjoy every last slurp! The beard served with any food is awesome. Only bad part was I wanted a Corona or Pacifico to... More

Dined here late one evening --- maybe that was the problem. The portions were a bit skimpy (like 3 small oysters on a sandwich?), and it just wasn't as good as the HIOC in San Francisco Ferry Building.

We ate here and enjoyed the soup and the seafood. Service was good as was the food! Could have had larger portions.

We have enjoyed having oysters here. Hog Island is a local Tomales Bay company and so the oysters are fresh. We like to sit at the bar and watch the chefs as they do the hard work of shucking the oysters. Its fun and a good meal. The place is at Oxbow Market, so before or after we usually stop... More

My husband and I were in napa this week staying within waking distance from the Oxbow Market. We are there 2 out of the 3 nights for all the varieties of the grilled oysters. The service was quick and easy and the quality was superb!

I can't comment on the oysters, but they had the best clam chowder I've ever tasted! Located in a marketplace containing a few choice eateries. The atmosphere was vibrant and upbeat. A definite must try when visiting the area!!
