We stopped here for a quick bite while touring downtown Napa and Oxbow market. We had oysters, Champagne and clam chowder. Holy cow the chowder was great. The oysters were very, very fresh and not over priced. We sat outside on a Saturday afternoon and had great service.

Love, love, love Hog island Oyster Company! Whenever we are anywhere near one of their restaurants we make sure to have a meal there. The oysters are so fresh, sweet and tasty they need no lemon or mignonette. We also enjoyed a spinach salad and the rustic seafood stew - the flavors were so straightforward, simple and incredibly delicious. Love... More

Among all of the multiple star and gourmet restaurants in the Valley, the Hog Island Oyster Company stood out. Maybe it was the change from all of the wine! We had the mixed oysters. These oysters were absolutely so fresh that they didn't need anything added to them unless you just chose to! After that we had their seafood stew... More

First, Hog Island is in Oxbow, a delightful gourmet food court of sorts that also houses a farmer's market- genius! I was there for Local's night, with a local, and it was packed and lively. The menu was simple but wonderful. We sampled a few Happy Hour specials. A must is the Fish Stew- so tasty. They have a good... More

I don't usually order oysters unless I know their origin and am comfortable with their freshness. That said, Hog Island won me over! We had the oyster bar mix and white wine (to wash them down! ha) Service was friendly and unhurried. Servant seemed knowledgeable.

If you are an oyster fan, go here. If you want a great deal, go for their oyster happy hour. Sit at the bar, and order a beer. You won't regret it. If anything, you'll just order another dozen oysters and another beer!

We sat at oyster bar to watch them work which was great and the oysters are out of this world. They are all fresh and have several to choose from. The service was great and it was fun to sit and watch them prepare the oysters. I also had the clam chowder and it was amazing so fresh and the... More

Some of the best oysters I've ever had. Horseradish wasn't bottled but freshly shaved. Fresh, plump, creamy/buttery finish. I Had the oyster Po Boy & it was pretty remarkable. My husband had seafood stew & it was amazing! Loved the Market atmosphere around the restaurant. Fun place & really good fresh seafood.
