Immediate seating for a couple at 6:45 on Thursday. Attentive wait staff, also very knowledgeable on the menu. The soup & calamari were a great start. The recommended wine was spot on. Gnocchi was on the mark with grilled chicken. Would return as the pricing was reasonable for such quality. Thanks for a great evening.

I've stopped in Cucina Italiana during my last travel in Napa Valley. My friend Michael, who lives there, told me about a special place where to taste a real italian food. The restaurant is located on the Lake Berryessa, a pleasant natural reservoir situated in Napa County. The restaurant is managed by Chef Stefano, who is a real italian "cuoco",... More

I have always wanted to go to Italy. I now feel as though I have. Everything from the appetizer to the dish and even the bread was so good! This food was so completely authentic! Wow! Our table was literally groaning with pleasure. First of all we went on a Wednesday and they weren't even open. The Chef Stefano was... More

Always pleased with whatever we order, but my husband cannot resist the ciopino, which I can't resist dipping their wonderful bread into. Chef Stefano is amazing and such a gracious host. The rack of lamb is succulent, the vegetables always perfect, salads fresh and did I mention they do lunches to take on the road. We have never been disappointed, nor... More

As I often say it's hard to judge any restaurant by eating only one meal but when you specifically ask for what the chef specializes in and than order that meal, you may have a good idea of how the whole place may be doing. That exactly what the three of us did. I asked and the server said, "his... More

outstanding lobster ravioli, clams & angel hair, and tiramisu. unpretentious, high-quality, *authentic* Italian food made my a real, experienced Italian in the kitchen. Oddly obscure location. Highly, highly recommended, the polar opposite of being at the Olive Garden.

This place is tucked a little bit out of the way in Napa. Chef Stefano was back in the kitchen handling everything himself. Everything was fresh, made to order, and very good All in all a great place to visit.

Decided to take the Harley out for a day trip from Sonoma to Lake Berryessa. Tried googling where to stop for lunch and this little gem of a restaurant popped up online. It was FANTASTIC! We were the only ones there for a late Sunday lunch and Chef Stefano greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome when we... More

It was surprising to find such an excellent restaurant in the Berryessa area. We arrived early for dinner, and Chef Stefano greeted us at the door. The food was first-rate, including carpaccio, steamed clams, and a veal entrée. The atmosphere is unpretentious, with patio views ranging from forest across the road to the trailers next door. There are even tables... More

Cucina Italiana is a must-stop for anyone of responsible temperament who happens across Lake Berryessa’s western shoreline in Napa County, California. If your idea of a good food stop includes excessive alcohol consumption, rowdy behavior, and burnout sessions in the parking lot, then find your way over to one of those other places farther south along Beryessa's western shore. If,... More
