Fuel for the Rest of Your Day

Big hearty breakfasts, perfect after an evening of wine tasting. Fuel for the rest of your day. The service has improved over time.

Great food--known for their breakfasts. A little slow on the service, understaffed, but friendly. Location is across the street from Murphys Inn for folks staying there it's a good choice.

We lunched on a busy day but the staff were quick and friendly. The food is classic American diner fare and good value provided you have a string constitution as it is quite greasy.

Always a good, solid breakfast with large portions. We always eat breakfast here when ever in the area.

I enjoyed the breakfast as a necessary morning after to a very fun day of wine(an beer) tasting around and in the town. I stayed at the hotel adjacent to this lot, so had the opportunity to check out the restaurant for a while while others in our group were getting up and going. I came in relatively early on... More

This place needs help. Went for breakfast and the meal left an impression... Not a good impression. Potatoes were terrible... Bacon under cooked. Put us at a table next to the entrance to the men's room. Would not go back.

Took the kids, who are working at a nearby boy scout camp, here for lunch. They were both really hungry and put down huge plates of food. Home deep-fried chicken in a sandwich, chicken- fried steak and eggs with a biscuit for the campers. I had a nice romaine salad with shaved tri-tip steak and blue cheese. My husband had... More

This place was across the street from the hotel so we went in 5th of July morning. There was no line and since there were 10 of us we sat at 2 tables. Chairs are horribly uncomfortable. We ordered Bloody Marys $4.00 which is not a bad price until you realize it is watered down tomato juice with what is... More

Stopped by on my way out of the area, had a chili omelet, it was a tasty chili that they say is homemade. Toast & sliced tomatoes to finish the breakfast. If I'm back in Murphys I'll be here again. Service was prompt & efficient, food came quickly & well prepared. Only one piece of toast. but I'm sure I... More

We impulsively stopped for breakfast here on the way to Arnold CA. My husband raved about the bacon flavor most of the day. We think that we would like to head for the hills again next week. This time. We will leave Modesto with a breakfast planned at Hillbillies. The service was fast & tasty.
