We went to have lunch on patio , waiter forgot our order , wait staff not good . Waited 1 hour . They kept filling our water glasses because they said boss was around , and they had too. Lunch was average , nothing special . Plenty of other good places to eat in town .

So far I've only had breakfast here. I'm new to the area. The Hotel breakfast is very good. Eggs bacon and hash browns are my favorite. I've had them a lot lately. Cooked to perfection, so far every time. Very reasonably priced. The out door seating is very nice with white table cloth on tables. The patio is nestled in... More

This is what I learned when eating dinner at the restaurant at the hotel. Do not go when they are busy. I did not see the kitchen, but I think that it is small. When we arrived (there were six of us in the party and we had reservations), the staff told us that we would have to wait a... More

We intended to try their patio dining last Sunday evening. It wasn't crowded. In the hallway waiting for someone to greet us, a waitress ran by and said to wait right there and someone would be right with us. After 5 minutes or more three people walked in past us into the dining room and got immediate service. I told... More

We went with our Church Camp group for lunch. The crab cakes were perfect. The menu had more choices than you would expect. We had a waitress that handled all 20 of us very well, considering it was peak time. We did have reservations and would highly recommend making it your meal stop while visiting Murphy's. We loved the town.

Stopped in for breakfast at Murphys historic hotel, and sadly I wasn't very impressed. The staff was unmotivated, and our server had the personality of a table napkin. Either they didnt care, or were completely obtuse when it came to basic sever etiquette. No, "how was your food? No "would you like some more water?, and no final up sale,... More

This was one of our stops on the Tour. Got to hear about the history of the hotel and the food selection for the tour was half a Reuben sandwich I don't usually care for a Rueben sandwich but this was very good.

The rooms were very large and clean. The staff was extra friendly. It was under 100 a night and withing walking distance of many wine tasting rooms.

Visited the bar it had an old bar feel, quick service. He could have been friendlier. But I liked the feel of it.

The key here is to visit when it's not brutally crowded. It was clear that when they were VERY busy, the noise level went way up and the service (in the restaurant, bar, etc.) all went way down. The quality of service when the place was NOT packed, was great. This is a somewhat "off the beaten path" kind of... More
