Lunch was very, very good.

Stopped in for lunch one day and shared a Turkey Club sandwich. It was huge and was served with a side salad, dressing of choice. We shared the sandwich, and the salad had a couple of glasses of wine and were very satisfied. They do have outside dining but by the time we entered the restaurant... read more

We had a nice romantic dinner and previously had lunch here, both were great, and great service. I love the outdoor patio, it has a view of Main Street.

We eat here for lunch while visiting Murphys and Mercer Caverns. The hotel is an old mining town "fancy" rest stop, complete with saloon. The place looks much like it did back in the day. Prices and food are good enough. Sure beats fast food chain for memories.

First, this review is for Murphy's Hotel dining room food and service - which was less than impressive. Recently, I had dinner here with family and friends to celebrate a birthday. The red flag, it was friday night at 7:00 and the dining room had three other parties. Shortly, these diners left and the room was completely empty for the... More

This is a very interesting old hotel to visit. My wife and I looked around, read the historic information and then ate an excellent lunch.

We had breakfast at the restaurant in the wonderful Historic Murphys Hotel. Stepping into the lobby of the hotel with its ornate woodwork and high ceiling was like stepping back in time. The inviting fire in the cast iron stove provided a warm welcome even though it wasn't very cold outside. When we walked into the dining room, I almost... More

The room we stayed in was very cool. Main building, historic, beautiful original furniture - fabulous ambiance. BUT turning it into a trashy night club at night that makes it impossible to sleep just feels wrong. No wonder it gets a reputation for being haunted.

We stopped during the middle of the week in late-January (off season) mostly because of the late Huell Howser. We were given the choice of eating in the bar or the dining room. We picked the dining room. In hindsight the bar might have been a better choice. When we were seated there were only two other couples in the... More

David I think it unfair to give a write up on this hotel based on a TV programme. Your personal opinion of Ramsay should be speerage, as it sounds like sour grapes.. In fact your views should be based on your actual experience
