Not sure if this still holds regularly, but there used to be open mic here with folks stepping up to sing on Monday nights. Great ambiance and coffee to go along with it with loads of cool people grooving along. A little cool spot on the one Mountain View street that has the most "action" in this city; Castro street.

Oooo. Sadly, I must speak up about my experience. Being Australian, I wanted a flat white (closest equivalent is a double/triple shot espresso with milk). The woman at the till had no time for me. I got my coffee (thankfully in a ceramic cup with handle not disposable rubbish). It was rust-coloured. This was alarming. I added some milk, sat... More

This place makes great coffee. The staff is friendly. They have a full open level upstairs where you can hangout and read or code or meet with friend. Definitely a place to hangout.

Nice coffee shop, friendly and helpful baristas, and a wonderful selection of coffees from around the world! When we bought a pound of coffee, we received a free cup of coffee (or a wooden nickel for a return visit for that cup of coffee!) Great shop.

I stopped in here just to grab a quick drink as I explored mountain view. The staff were super friendly and very nice and helpful. I even got a special Italian soda creation - strawberry, lemon, and lime. Absolutely delicious! I also liked that I was able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Saturday. Definitely a good coffee place.

Had a wonderful cup of cappuccino from this little shop on the corner in what looks to be the revitalized downtown of Mountain View. Worth a visit just for the aroma. Tough to pick just one coffee from the interesting list of choices. Wish it was on my corner. Looks like a place where you could easily spend the afternoon... More

You MUST stop at this little corner coffeehouse when you are anywhere near the Mountain View downtown area! Full of wonderfully free trade java, it's to pick one of the many they have in store. It can be really tough to picking just one, and when we did, we also had to pick another to bring home for our friends.... More

The quality of coffee beverages and pastries / sandwiches is top-notch. Cappuccinos always have a nice crema and rich flavor. The barristi here are dedicated coffee enthusiasts. Four-barrel coffee is used. The atmosphere is always buzzing with discussions ranging from high-tech startup ideas to yoga to knitting techniques. The weekly Monday-night sign-up talent show really provides a great opportunity for... More

Here's the trick to great espresso at Red Rock. There are two bars, the main ordering area (closer to the back), and the single origin bar (closer to the front) if you really care about coffee, order at the front one. The guy will rap with you about what you really enjoy in an espresso, and give you a choice... More

The baristas are passionate about making you an excellent cup of coffee. For any of the drinks that require frothed milk, they go the extra distance of adding latte art which is always much appreciated! Over the years, Red Rock has server coffee from various roasters in the bay area, their current featured roaster is Four Barrel, an excellent bay... More
