Before we started regularly eating the lunch buffet at the excellent Amber Indian Restaurant in Mountain View, we used to regularly eat the lunch buffet at Passage to India. We stopped going there about 3 years ago since it was so spicy. We decided to go back and see what it was like now. The food at the lunch buffet... More

Great buffet spread of authentic indian delicacies - soups, mouth watering starters , main course with veg & non veg dishes suiting all tastes , tasty biryanis & to top it all Indian sweets to relish ; saw a lot of American white families enjoying this food which proves its acceptance across communities .

We drove by so many times and had to finally stop and check this place out. We went on a Friday, go early , no crowds. The food was a full buffet style, with vegetarian on one side and meat on the other. The food was all very good. Everything was so creamy and delicious, the service was fantastic, I... More

The price of the Buffet is very similar to Amber restaurant. Looks like, the buffet is designed for non-vegetarians. The number of items for vegetarians were a few. Appetizers turned out to be better than the main food. Non-Veg Biryani and Lemon rice for vegetarians! If you are a vegetarian, it is better to choose another restaurant.

A middle of the road indian restaurant with above average service. Not a miss but not a hit either. Reasonably priced so good for travellers on a budget. Vegetarian dishes are better than their meat dishes.

I have been to India a few times but I have had my best Indian meals outside of the country. Passage to India is a fine example of a restaurant serving fine Indian food.

Passage to India offers a very good Indian buffet at a reasonable price (12.95$). You get a large variety of Indian starters and entrees. Even if it is a buffet, the quality of the food was excellent, and the service was attentive. Nice lassies. Next time we will be in Mountain View, we’ll eat at Passage to India.

Out for a stroll on El Camino enjoying the sun and air, when spotted Passage to India. It doesn't have much street appeal, but i could see the crew was busy loading a van to take food somewhere, so thought I would check out the bakery. I picked up a vegetarian samosa and a chicken puff (?) to have for... More
