Spanish stylish great food & atmosphere

Went there today, sat at the bar and enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The fish-du-jour came as a filet with a nice salad. Peppery and very tasteful. This is the second time I have eaten here. The first time I sat out on the patio. This time I sat inside. I went with my son around 2:00pm on a Sunday. We had no trouble getting a seat. There were a few people inside, but not crowded. The service was great in the beginning. We got water and... More

The restaurant tries hard to be be Latin. It gets quite noisy when there are large groups. Service is good. The food selections are decent and taste OK. The veggie choices are limited but they do try. My colleagues had the seafood Paella and loved it. Someone on our team had the Beef Empanadas and said that they were the... More

I am a huge fun of seafood with Paella and when Cascal chooses to tingle my senses and transport me back to Barca...i have no choice but to congratulate them. I will definitely go back. My friends and i had a great time here. The customer service was not what i expected but the food and the bread really brought... More

I guess this is what you call a trendy happening place. The food is very very good and not one of those tapas joints where you pay a fortune because you have to order 10 plates to get full. My friend and I ordered a starter (brussel sprouts) and the big starter sampler. That was all we had and we... More

We eat here about once a month and always enjoy the food. It's a great place to try new and different things and share them around the table. Cascal is very busy and gets VERY noisy as the restaurant fills. I'd advise reservations for lunch and/or dinner. They have heaters outside but it's still too chilly for us in the... More

Cascal never fails to please. Don't miss their Spanish Tapas Platter, with a great variety for all. The mushroom empanadas are also delicious. Top it all off with their sangria and you have an enjoyable lunch or dinner. Vibrant atmosphere. Try for a table in the rear or outside if weather permits. Takes reservations.

We were in the Bay Area visiting family, since we are all from Spain, they wanted us to try the paella there. We ordered 2 different ones, the Paella Cascal and the Paella a la Marinera (seafood). Both were ok in taste, a little watered down and a bit much salt. The rice was very mushy, and most of the... More

I was most fortunate to visit this great upscale Tapas restaurant in downtown Mountain View. Bright, cheery with old world spanish charm, this busy restaurant was filled with groups and couples. Sangria is pretty good, but I am not a big Sangria expert. Descent local beer selections are found. We had the tapa sampler platter for 2 and found that... More

We had a 20+ person group and were seated at a set of long tables. The choices of plates are extensive and everything was well prepared and done very nicely. The marinated grilled lamb chops with patatas bravas and chimichurri were my favorites! The service was very good.
