Since it is a "tapas" type restaurant, we know it would be expensive. The restaurant is noisy but the 4 of us were still able to have a comfortable conversation. The service was good and the food was excellent. The portions were larger than the usual tapas portions.

The food is very good with lots of different flavors from American food. I like those tapa plates. You can try many different thing when you go with a group of people. Outdoor seating is very nice in summer. Only the service is lagging. The servers are not very pleasant appealing to us.

Been here a couple of times and have not had a bad meal. Their sangria is good and strong. Price was reasonable. Their Jamon plate was good but would have been better if it had the tomato spread like what they have in Spain. Even though the tapas are not as authentic, they are delicious nonetheless. They have a very... More

A bunch of friends and I recently shared a beautiful meal at Cascal in Mountain View. I'm a big fan of Spain and tapas, so this place was a natural. While I don't think it's possible to get really authentic tapas in this country (at least I've not found such a place yet), this restaurant makes a valiant effort. Similarly... More

We love this restaurant and decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary with a nice dinner at Cascal. I made the reservation five days in advance and got the name of the person whom I spoke with. I also told her it was a special occassion and that I wanted to be seated in the 'back corner' area by the windows... More

not authentic tapas. It is very Americanized. they're tasty, especially the lamb chops and meatballs, but it is so far what you'd get in Spain

Great atmosphere & vegetarian options. Black bean soup - lite, nice light spicy tinge. Hearts of palm salad - light, refreshing. Corn pablano saute - light, tasty. Spanish fries - nicely spiced, not heavy. Mushroom empanadas - tasty, not oily. Eggplant tian - very nice, not too cheesy. Chile relleno - nice sauce, most of the time the pepper is... More

The chefs put together a special New Years Eve menu and our table of 10 picked one of almost every item. The caesar salad was tasty with a goodly amount of anchovy paste in the plentiful dressing. Home baked olive bread crouton added to the flavor. Lamb chops, vegetable paella, scallops, and a special Spanish style cioppino got rave reviews... More

Downtown Mountain View here is a nice, warm place that offers an exciting menu with great Latin choices. Great seafood choices and if you are in the mood to share go for the tapas menu and try different dishes. Of course, these are not Spain level tapas but you are getting close and this is one of the two good... More

This is a nice place to just chill out with friends. Great service and good food. It may a little crowded, so if you have a large group be sure to make reservations.
