I ate at Cascal while I was in mountain view visiting from France. It was great food and the music and tables outside make a really nice atmosphere ! I recommend it!

While visiting Mountain View, CA, I ate at Cascal with some family. They are from the area and highly recommended the restaurant. I had the banana leaf chicken, salad, and sangria. I highly recommend the sangria. I also enjoyed the food. We sat outside and it was so wonderful! I loved the atmosphere and the area.

Cascal is tremendous fun to spend some time in. Great location, bar, Mexican to Moroccan (lamb is delicious) and staff are good. It's always packed so reserve early. The house Pinot is only ok, so taste before you commit!

We love coming here for the food and drinks. It is a pretty lively place that can get loud but if you're open to it, it's a great hangout.

We had a meal here prior to an event in the area. The staff was wonderfully accommodating, assisting us in our drink/food choices as well as making sure we were out of the restaurant in time to get to our event. The atmosphere inside was fun and the patio was the perfect spot for an early dinner. The food was... More

This place has some of the best paella I've had since a trip to Barcellona 5 years ago. We shared the Paella Cascal, Rustica and Marinera. All were very good but we liked the Marinera the best. They are all a bit spicey if you're sensitive but that is something I've found in every restaurant paella in the US. In... More

The food is excellent. We shared several small plates and they all exceed our expectations. The braised short rib with adobo sauce was the real star. The depth of flavor made you want to eat more. The wine list was good and the service outstanding. It was very busy but the attention to detail without hovering was just right.

During my visit to the Sunnyvale area I met a friend at this restaurant. I was surprised how nice it was, although crowded. Since they were busy, the stuck us in a corner back. The service was good, as well as the food. We ordered the paella which was plenty for two to share with a few tapas meals. Not... More

Since our AirBnB host had extolled Cascal's virtues. we were disappointed with average food, specifically the Tapas Sampler. We were surprised to have eaten better tapas in white-bread Washington DC than in California. On the plus side, the staff was friendly, the sangria excellent, and the live music entertainment quite good.

I've been here several times and the food is always of high quality and tasty, always busy. I have not had any of the larger plates, only the tapas type dishes, I recommend trying them all. 1/2 price on drinks during happy hour, otherwise on the pricier side for bar drinks.
