Good ramen and fried rice

I come here about once a week. The pork fried rice is SO good and the ryowa ramen is awesome when you add the spicy green onion stuff thats in a jar on the table or bar. Fried chicken is good too. Other ramens that are good are the Miso and butter corn but the ryowa is the best one.... read more

Go here for the Ramen , not for the ambiance - although it's pretty authentic. You sit at a counter (the stools are more like tall chairs, so reasonably comfortable) and help yourself to two varieties of kimchee. The Ramen noodles are firm and tasty, and the broths are excellent. Portions are generous! The Gyoza are also very good.

Group of us from work came for lunch to celebrate a birthday. They do not take reservations so we were a little nervous about this spontaneous excursion. Parking is relatively easy, considering it's downtown Mountain View, as there was street parking and also a lot next door. We walked in and the place is small but cosy and quite efficiently... More

This place is off of Castro in Mountain View tucked away on Villa. The place is tiny maybe with 20 seats with half in a Ushaped counter. The ramen noodles come out pretty quickly and turnover is pretty fast since there are several other ramen places around. However, this place used to be the only ramen to go in MV.... More

Simple food served as a old style counter, in the style of a Japanese noodle house. Very crowded at lunch as people drop in for a quick lunch. Since it's a counter it's very easy to go here by yourself for a satisfying meal. Inexpensive with good food quality. My kids love the fried rice and want to come here... More

I really liked the ramen, but the gyoza is to die for! I would go back just for those. We got there right as they opened and within 15 minutes the place was packed. If you want to try legit ramen for a great price this is the place to go.

I'm a big fan of the Ryowa ramen special, which comes with gyoza and fried rice. It's a very hearty serving, which really warms and fills you up! Great noodle texture, loved the flavors, and a tiny bit spicy. Great value. Crowded little space, but seats turn over quickly!

Really tasty, strong flavored ramen served with fried rice and gyoza... So really a generous lunch! Seemed more Korean based flavoring than Japanese, so be prepared for spicy over more neutral flavor. very efficient layout and great friendly service.

When it's cold or if you're craving salt, get a bowl of Ryowa ramen. They also have a cold ramen but featured only in the summer. Help yourself to some kim chee at the table and refill your own tea glass. Don't forget to order their super tasty fried rice! That stuff is the best!
