Four of us ate early dinner here recently after a matinee at the Mountain View Performing Arts Centre. Food, portions, atmosphere, wine, and prices were good. Service was excellent. Not too noisy, but we were early so don't know how good it was later on. Eggplant Parmesan was disappointing. Hard to find the eggplant in the mushy topping with spaghetti.... More

15 of us just had dinner there for a birthday party. 5 kids 8-13 They gave us the big private room and our server was excellent ... The fresh mozzarella and roasted vegetables were very tasty. Entres were very good...a very wide range of wine selection. Kudos... That's beyond what I had expected. Really above average for our area which... More

Very average. The food was a throwback to east coast Italian from the 60s. Wine was cheap (for a restaurant) and service was okay. Best part of the meal was the dessert. With al the other good restaurants in the area I don't understand how they stay in business.

This was my first visit, but my roommate has been here several times and it is one of his favorites. The service was exceptional; we never had to wait and were frequently visited to see how the food was and whether we needed anything. I had the calamaru appetizer; it was comparable to my favorite calamari, from Emeril's in the... More

Went to this restaurant for lunch with fellow co-workers from the office in Mountainview. Nothing exceptional. Food was average to good. May be it was because we were such a big group. The nice thing about this restaurant was that it could fit such a big group. We were more than 50 people and we had the side room to... More

Ristorante Don Giovanni serves delicious authentic Italian food. The menu provides a multitude of reasonably priced choices. The veal cutlet was delicious and the serving size was very generous. My wife had the swordfish which she described as "excellent". Giovanni's is one of a very few Italian restaurants which serves authentic cannoli. The shell is cooked to perfection providing great... I went to DG with a large party so we had a room to ourselves and a couple of wait staff. The service was just ok. They didn't go above and beyond. The owner is Turkish I believe. I ordered the screw pasta with veggies in white wine sauce. It was ok. The taste is bland and the sauce was... More

I can't say "the best" since I haven't been to all of them, but Don Giovanni is very good. An extensive selection of Italian food, including a lot of seafood, and a good wine list. Nice ambiente and the waiters seemed pretty authentic, too. I had the caprese folowed by pesto penne, the quality was very good but not really... More

I love this place. Waiters are charming, good bar, great food. It is a great date restaurant. Call and make a reservation for a booth. It's more romantic. There are always 2 or 3 specials every night. A fish, a meat, and a pasta dish. One time I had a swordfish that was slightly tough, I mentioned it and the... More
