I just returned from a business dinner at FJ&L. It was enjoyable. The menu was basic, essential Italian. Everything was good, not special but good. I had the chicken and sausage cannelloni and was quite satisfied. Others in our party had veal, scampi and Don Juan pizza. We all like it. Service was helpful although unfortunately one order was wrongly... More

Parking was easy as our parties went to the restaurant for lunch early. The dining area was well lighted with bright sun rays shining through open windows. It was a very comfortable feeling with the cool air flowing through. We ordered house wine , both white and red, fried squid appetizer, and our entries (veals and seafood pasta. The food... More

We made a reservation ahead if time due to the fact we had a large party. When we got there they claimed they didn't have us down. We were about to find another restaurant that could accommodate us but they found a spot after some of us were upset we bothered to call in reservations . The food was average... More

Full menu and very large portions. Basic good Italian food but nothing too inventive or adventurous. Great for kids also, since flavors are pretty mild. New bar is nice for any waits.

We had no difficulty getting in on a Sunday evening -- we expected a large crowd. Parking was no problem, and the building looked quaint from the outside (the inside did not disappoint). The Host seated us promptly and Ramiro (waiter) was cordial. We stayed stocked with warm sourdough and garlic butter throughout the meal. Our Salmon Florentine was large... More

It's been several years since we've been to this Italian eatery, and it was quite a delight to conclude it's gotten better over the years, expanding into new space and to other Bay Area locations. Want great pizza? Go here, it's worth the wait if busy, though seating had greatly expanded since we were last here. Want pasta? Cannelloni or... More

Our Mountain View relatives had never been to FJL and we were looking for a nice restaurant that handled private events, so our mission was twofold. We were seated promptly by the staffer at the host stand. When we told him we were also interested in talking to whomever handled banquets, his English faltered. He pointed out an area of... More

While I no longer think that their pizzas deserve any more "best in the" awards, their food and wine selection are very good. They have one of the better Osso Bucco dishes that are less than the "$$$" price range. Parking's good, access to the restaurant is pretty easy.

The food was great..Our server Berne was very courteous and helpful in recommending the best dishes on the menu. We got very large servings and the Price was more than worth the size of the portion. Seafood pas ta is divine.
