We arrived and put our name on the wait list. The bar was almost empty so we went there to wait. No one came to get a drink order. We were really hungry and wanted to order appetizers as well. Slowly the bar filled up and when we looked around, ever single person around us had a drink and we... More

I liked the pasta dishes and other Italian food at this place. It is off the main restaurant area of Castro St on a busy road. Good value for a bottle of the house wines. Good value overall.

Needed an early dinner with our son and infant granddaughter so thought Frankie, Johnnie, & Luigi Too would be fine. The starters ...wedge salad, Ceasar salad, and bruschetta came very fast and were flavorful. My capellini pomodora was okay...guess I am not a big fan of large hunks of tomatoes on spaghetti. The other diners thought their meals were adequate.... More

Took my Granddaughter to lunch this week at FJL. Excellent place to take a child! Once you sit down, you get an extensive children's menu with many games on it to keep the kiddie amused. The rolls made my granddaughter happy as they were warm and soft and smelled wonderful. Her pasta meal was perfectly cooked and came with a... More

We walked in and felt welcomed by the friendly staff and warm and charming environment. They first dazzled us with the warm bread and whipped herbed butter. Then they delighted us with the wonderful and flavorful spaghetti and meatballs. I have never tasted such a great meatball before. These meatballs have to be homemade. The scrumptious blend of Italian sausage... More

Get the sausage bread appetizer. The cannoli is amazing too. Price is right. Portions are big. I took the girlfriend here for her birthday and they gave her a cake and sang too. The atmosphere is nice and the service is great too. Have been going there for a while now.

The food here is nothing to "write home about". Not sure why, but there is always a long wait so others may like the food better than I have. Nothing wrong with it. It's just not special in any way. Kind of heavy and saucy. Not a good place to go if you want to eat healthfully.

I just returned from a business dinner at FJ&L. It was enjoyable. The menu was basic, essential Italian. Everything was good, not special but good. I had the chicken and sausage cannelloni and was quite satisfied. Others in our party had veal, scampi and Don Juan pizza. We all like it. Service was helpful although unfortunately one order was wrongly... More

Parking was easy as our parties went to the restaurant for lunch early. The dining area was well lighted with bright sun rays shining through open windows. It was a very comfortable feeling with the cool air flowing through. We ordered house wine , both white and red, fried squid appetizer, and our entries (veals and seafood pasta. The food... More

We made a reservation ahead if time due to the fact we had a large party. When we got there they claimed they didn't have us down. We were about to find another restaurant that could accommodate us but they found a spot after some of us were upset we bothered to call in reservations . The food was average... More
