This is my favorite Indian restaurant in the bay area and possibly in all of the us. Great food and very attentive staff. If you really like hot dishes the ghosht vindaloo is it. But butter chicken and goa shrimp are outstanding as well. The wine list is also very good. Highly recommended

Had dinner there with family and food was superb. Soup, starters, main entree.. every thing was flawless. We tried Sakoon platter with Biryani and Mutton curry.. Each dish was upto perfection... keep it up Guys..

This is the best Indian place I have eaten at in the Valley. Being Indian born in England, I am used to a very high standard of Indian food. Sakoon always seem to meet this. Highly recommend this for the fussy eater!

I came here for the lunch buffet, just a block away from City Hall in downtown Mountain View. The food was good, there was a nice selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, and the servers were attentive. Interior has modern decor and a full bar. The place can get crowded around lunchtime, but the wait isn't too bad. Will definitely... More

I had booked table for three for Lunch and arrived on time and lady on counter was not ready to listen that I had booking and countered me by mentioning that tables are occupied by those who came in big groups say 8-10 or more....Sounds Stupid....After some time she offered us seat outside the restaurant which I refused and there... We arrived early and the restaurant and bar area were pretty empty. But it filled-up fast, with several large parties. Suggest reservations if going after 7:00. The food was quite good. we especially enjoyed the lamp Seek Kabob and the yellow dahl. All six dishes we had were tasty. We asked for medium spice and that it what we received.... More

I've eaten both lunch buffet and order-off-the-menu dinner. And I just love the flavors and selection. I've yet to see any other restaurant serve up Butter Chicken at the lunch buffet. It was delicious. Besides a wide selection of entrees and side dishes at the buffett, the warming bowls are small which means the food turns around quickly and is... More

The décor of the place is not what I expected. It looks more like a throwback from the 80's, rather than your traditional Indian restaurant. I went for the buffet at lunchtime. Food is OK, not spectacular.

Came with friends for a Saturday lunch. This was one of the best, if not THE best Indian buffet! They restaurant is swanky, the servers are attentive, the food is in smaller serving pieces so it's not sitting forever. There is constant replenishment and we never had to wait for a dish to be replaced. Save room for dessert as... More

I used to live in the Sunnyvale area and have eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants in that area. Although, for North Indian food, I didn't like anything other than Amber India for the longest time. Sakoon was a very valuable find. It was suggested by some family members and never looked back. The only disappointment was that on... More
