Good Indian food

Ambiance: Nice place. Bigger than you might expect. Furnishings are pretty goo, though the booth seats are deeper than usual, with my legs bent at the knees I can't quite sit against the backrest (I'm US average size), a bit disconcerting. Sized to fit couples, groups of 4, and larger... read more

There are several Indian restaurants in the Bay Area but we like Sakoon's morning buffet a lot. Like the ambience , location is just perfect if you like mountain view downtown. Food is delicious for the buffet. However when we went for dinner once we simply didn't like it . I think that it is too bland , kofta curry... More

I have visited here several times for lunch -- a $15 per person buffet. They were packed with large groups of tech workers each time and the atmosphere was very lively. There wasn't a wait for us since we sat at the bar. The spice and heat is dialed up here in comparison to most Indian food in the area... More

Not much of a buffet fan, but this place is quite impressive. Food couldn't be fresher. Highly recommended.

First of all, we visited their new Fremont location, not the Mountain View one. We had seen positive reviews about the Mountain View restaurant on the local PBS station. They were very courteous in seating, and helped us with ordering a variety of dishes. The tandoori seabass and lamb curry were the highlights of a multi-course meal for six adults.... More

This is a lovely place to have your dinner with your family after a stroll in down town Mountain View. The food is of good quality, the Malai Kofta is out of the world! You will be lucky, if you get a seating in the front; the back side tables are not up to standards. The service is good. The... More

Good Indian food in a nice atmosphere with good service. Love the chicken biryani and the tandoori lamb. Last time I was there, it was for a pre-theater dinner. They made a point of making sure we didn't have to wait for our food and we got out in plenty of time.

I found Sakoon about a year ago now and I love the food. They have a fantastic ambiance as well. It's a very good restaurant for a romantic dinner. They staff there are also very nice and are very attentive. The food is excellent. I've had Indian food in India and other places around the world, my my favorite is... More

Service was excellent -- attentive and timely -- and food was very good with large enough portions that we had delicious leftovers for the next day. I thought the wine was overpriced given the quality. The dining room banquettes need some updating. The cushion of the one I sat in had a round shaped indentation from so many people sitting...
