Go for dinner unless you like lunch buffets (granted, it is extensive, I just don't like buffets). Super fresh ingredients, great favors, wide variety of options. The sea bass is the best we have ever had. Inviting upscale decor. This is one of our go-to restaurants.

I went there twice recently, the first time the food was fantastic. Every dish in the buffet was mouth watering delicious. The second time was good, 70% of dishes in the buffet were good. The nan's here leave are a little too dry but that's the case with most Indian restaurants. Of Indian restaurants in the bay area, I would... More

I have been there for both lunch buffets and dinner times and I think their buffet is exceptional. I love the selection of food. Its not overwhelming but still very good. Good salads and desserts.

Went 40 miles from San Ramon to Sakoon with colleagues for Dinner. We booked the lounge on the 2nd level where the ambiance was great and the food choices were super. The portion size was reasonable and the food taste was spot-on for my taste buds. Our Brazilian boss is a great fan of Indian food and he loved the... More

Been here twice now. The variety of dishes is excellent, and the quality consistently first class. I've eaten at fantastic Indian restaurants all round the world, and this is one of the best! The only thing that under-whelmed me was the bread, which was obviously not out of a proper tandoor oven. Will try the rotis next time.

Stopped in on New Year's Day as we were out for a walk. We were seated right away, but as we ate the line got progressively longer. The buffet was outstanding, very fresh, hot and tasty. None of the "mush" that is often on buffets. I would definitely recommend Sakoon for lunch if you are looking for some bright flavours

Food was above average and ambience was also good, but you will find many options on Castro which could be better.
