Fish was excellent! Very tasty with all the dishes. Only negative thing was the lighting in the restaurant is kind of dark.
This is the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand. It is so consistent too- tasty, fresh and fast every time. We've diner in and taken out, and both are excellent. Very vegetarian friendly too and a wide variety of traditional thai cuisine and some outside of the box food too.
When I googled 'The Best Thai Restaurant in Mountain View', Shana came up first; and I think it's safe to say they live up to their name. Great service and great food.
The food was very good and very Thai, but the service was a disappointment. We came at nine pm and the KITCHEN closes at ten. In the middle of our dinner all the staff begin to clean up the place. The staff talked like they were alone and the few guests that still were eating left. So did we. Disappointment... More
I went in today for some take out. I live in Santa Cruz and was attending a BBQ at my husband's work. I'm Vegan so I wanted to take some food with me that I could eat and Thai is always a good option. This place was close to where I was going so I stopped here. I love getting... More
I recently went on a business trip and was happy to see a Thai restaurant nearby. My husband does not like Thai food so I took full advantage of the meal. I had the sweet spicy basil chicken with jasmine rice. Chicken was not tough and the spices were fantastic. I went back again several weeks later and ordered the... More
This unassuming restaurant near Castro Street has beautiful dimly-lit ambiance and modern presentation inside similar to higher-priced restaurants but the prices are very reasonable for Bay Area. The entrees we ordered were about $13 each. The food was too sweet for my liking, perhaps caters more to a Western palate.
The food at shana is phenomenal, and they have good prices. My favorite entrees are the mild yellow curry, with coconut rice and there is very very good garlic Basa.
I love thai food and after living in Seattle, my standard for Thai food is quite high. But this place did not disappoint. I had flat rice noodles and they came out quite well, not too greecy, just enough spicy. For started their Indian bread thing is quite good. We also had coconut water which was yuck, do not try.
