Mt Shasta's wonderful little greasy spoon. Must stop before hitting the slopes.

Was just there, great little breakfast stop on you way up to the mountain. Black Bear is now a chain but started in Mt. Shasta years ago. Great little greasy spoon with friendly staff and best Ham and eggs in Mt. Shasta. Great lunch menu as well. Dinner is OK.

Great place to stop for a meal while traveling. Breakfast Menu is out of this world. And lunch and dinner is almost as good. Place is clean and service is good.

For a quick breakfast stop, there was a friendly atmosphere and home cooked food. All staff was welcoming. Would definitely recommend this eatery!

There's an extensive breakfast, sandwich, salad, burger menu. My friend was impressed. As a vegetarian I could only find pancakes, waffles and an omelet suitable, which was enough. Portions were large. I'd return probably for breakfast, only.

Your food is cold and the service is slow my grandma found a fly and her potatoes we waited for 45 minutes for our food and there was only nine people inside they treat the waitresses like s*** the cooks act like they don't know what they're doing in back

During my stay in Mt Shasta the last week of October 2015 I had dinner two nights at the Black Bear Dinner. This is located close to the hotel I was staying at (Best Western Plus) and close to interstate. The environment in like a 50's diner with old music and booths and seats at the counter. The waitresses were... More

I recently spent 2 days in Mt Shasta City and I have always been a fan of the Black Bear Diners in Bend and Shasta. I was a bit hesitant to eat there this time because of my recent food allergy issues and then decided to give it a try. The server was wonderful, we created a breakfast that was... More

My family owns a small cafe in Mineola Texas. We strive to make the environment positive and relaxing. However, it is difficult to find places that return the favor. Black Bear Diner is one of the few places that I feel at home. Defiantly try it if you are in the area!
