They serve your food on huge platters , and it's so good! My son was barely able to finish his huge burger platter, and that's very unusual. We were all stuffed and wishing we had a Black Bear where we live.Probably a good thing that we don't! The service was excellent, and our bill for 4 people to eat all that... More

We ate here after a long, fun day hiking on the mountain it also happened to be on Thanksgiving day, perhaps this was the problem. The waitress was less than friendly and very abrupt. The food was almost inedible. I've eaten at one other Black Bear Diner and it was fine. Unfortunately this one was awful.

This is the original Black Bear Diner and it shows with the employees. They are happy and fun and appear to love their jobs. The food....... well, what can you say? It's EXCELLENT and GIGANTIC! Especially the breakfast. It's all good. I've never had a bad meal here. Ever.

Grounds were cluttered with refuse. Restaurant was dirty, table was dirty, washed silverware had food clinging to it, the quality of food was worth a C minus, and the waitresses literally shouted back and forth among each other and the chefs. Extremely noisy for the duration of our stay. We are not normally "picky" about restaurants, but this place was... More

This place rocks. Great food and tons of it. One of the best chicken fried steaks around! All the menu items are delicious. Prices are very good. Service is friendly. The location is one of the best for any restaurant. Great views of Mt Shasta. Easy on and off I-5. Highly recommended!

My veggie scramble was so so only. Not much taste to it. No love. Pancakes were dry. Felt like it had been done on an assembly line. The view of Mt. Shasta however, is probably the best in town! The server was great. Happy, fun and seemed like she loved her job! A PLUS!

The Black Bear Diners are fast becoming a favorite travel stop. The food quality is always great weather you stop in Bend Oregon, or Mt Shasta Calif. The service is a model all service providers should aspire to. Always fun for the family with bear decore.

we ate here a week after the devestating fire that went through weed. People around us had just lost there homes so it was a little sad. The items that we wanted to order were already gone because the firecrews were still in town. We were totally ok with that. The turkey sandwich i had was really good with nice... More
