Good lunch in a appealing atmosphere

We dropped in for lunch at 1:30 pm. We knew they closed at 2 pm so that they can set up for dinner. We were cheerfully seated as were people who came in after us. They did turn away people after 2 pm. Once seated we were not rushed at all. The food was good and prepared properly. It was... read more

Lily's has gourmet food served in a charming little house on the main street in Mt. Shasta. I had a whole fresh herb stuffed trout served over farro, with hollandaise sauce. My husband had the cabernet short ribs with garlic mashed potatoes. Both dishes were excellent. Try the apple and fennel salad with orange vinaigrette - light and refreshing!

We had met the chef that afternoon and we discussed food quite a bit. He told us about Lily's and the newest addition to the menu, pad thai. Later that day we had dinner there. Exquisite food, exquisite service, outdoor seating with a view of Mt. Shasta. This year there is barely a trace of snow, but it is still... More

A friendly staff in a cute house serve up delicious food. Owner and chef Ron Childers told us that he had turned over the restaurant for a time, but returned when the regulars clamored for his come back. My wife and I had the short ribs, which were very generous in size. We both agreed that these were the best... More

My husband and I hadn't eaten at Lily's in years, when it was one of our favorite places to eat in the North State, and we decided to give it a try before a hike up Mt Shasta. We arrived twenty minutes before their closing time. It took a while before anyone seated us. Then it took some time before... More

We just celebrated our mom's 90th birthday in a banquet room at Lily's. Everyone had ordered different meals off the menu and I have to say every single meal was excellent, from the beef, to the salmon, to the chicken, and the pasta, we all enjoyed our food immensely. Portions were generous, the side vegetables were perfectly cooked. The waitress... More

My husband and I had our 25th anniversary dinner here, and were very pleased. The food was delicious, the service warm and hospitable. We started our dinner outside, but it became cool, and they quickly moved us inside at our request. The wine selection was very good.

Mount Shasta is a small town and finding a good restaurant several times on a long vacation can be hard. My home base is Houston and we take great food for granted so it can be disappointing trying to find great food in small towns. This was an excellent restaurant that was very reasonably priced especially when we brought our... More

Every course was terrific. Over two nights we had three different salads, all quite different and inventive. My husband chose a roasted artichoke with aioli our first dinner. The ingredients were very, very fresh. My oyster mushroom salad the second night featured perfect mushrooms. The salads are very large and we saw another couple sharing one. A good idea, but...
