Yummy stuff from the bar grub to the restaurant, reasonable prices. I've had the burger, the crab sliders, fish and chips, pasta, prime rib that was the bomb, garlic fries, salads and the clam chowder is delicious. Breakfast - get the California Benedict! If you're staying at the resort, it's close and convenient (plus a 10% discount!!) with a wide... More

I've been coming up here for the last 10 years for 4th of July as well as for Mt. Shasta Ski Resort and as far as I see, there are three consistently good places to eat. Highland House is definitely one of them. Note, if you are a local you may find the prices expensive to other relative options, but... More

The only thing this place has going for it is the location. Oh, and our server was great. Why oh why didn't we read the reviews before we went? We were guests at the resort and chose to dine here because we were tired from a long day of driving. As guests, we received a 15 or 20% off discount... More

Four of us ate lunch and between us we had sandwiches and salads. When the women couldn't decide what to order the waiter offered to split their sandwich and salad orders which was nice. We all enjoyed our food very much. Tasty and well prepared. The service was excellent and the views of Mt. Shasta were wonderful. Wasn't expecting much... More

In the early 2000's they were great! A favorite spot of many for an elegant evening out. Now the food is mediocre at best and overpriced. We still loved their Sunday brunch but discovered they don't do that anymore. Don't waste your money. Locals do not go there.

We were staying at the Mount Shasta Resort so had breakfast at the resort restaurant one morning on an August weekend. I expected the dining room to be busy, but it was not. I had yogurt, granola and fresh fruit. That required no cooking so was fine. My husband said his breakfast was cold and only the bacon was good,... More

I had seared tuna which was served tepid with a very cold pineapple salsa dressing. The asparagus was large but tough. The other diners said there food was just okay. There is a bar near the fine dining area and the music was so loud at our table that it was like being in the bar. The prices were high... More

Friendly staff and wonderful service. Great Californa cusine food that was skillfully prepared and presented. Beautiful setting in upscale facility.

We have lived in Mt. Shasta for almost 20 years and have dined at the Highland House Restaurant many many times. Unfortunately, this restaurant has never lived up to the gorgeous views and beautiful interior. The food quality is sort of like a roller coaster...sometimes it is quite good but more often than not, the food is mediocre at best.... More

We went to the Highland House because it was included in our package deal by staying at the Mt. Shasta Resort. The service was good and the food was great. I would recommend this place. The view was awesome and we saw deer on the golf course while eating our dinner.
