Late dinner

Stopped in on our way back home for dinner. Place was a bit dark but the staff was very friendly. Had the ribeye. Very flavorful. Local beers on tap were good as well. Overall a good dinner. Would eat here again.

We love to eat at the Wayside Grill on Sundays, after church. In the summer we sit on the outside deck and enjoy the views of the local mountains, plus the lovely landscaping. We always get our favorite dishes - especially their Fish & Chips, with their specialty sweet potato fries!

5 years & going strong, a local place with a great heart. Thanks to Denise & Terry for creating a fun place to eat & drink. Our favorite hangout where you can count on good food & friendly service.

Have eaten here many times over the past several years. Consistently good food! Large variety: steaks to pizza, Mexican and a lot more! Good wines too.

Suggested by our host for the evening. About 10 of us mt. bicyclists were overnighting and riding Shasta area trails. It is truly a place from out of the past. But, they had 10 great micros on tap. Our waitress......a fabulous lady knew her stuff. She accommodated our wide ranging requests without a flinch. Food was great! Great deserts too!... More

I came in and ordered a chicken caesar salad. I was soooo upset when i got home and there was three strips of chicken breast and a huge chunk of bread. I got charged so much for the chicken and only got three strips. Thats a rip off. I got more bread than anything.

Last Friday on our way home we decided to try the Wayside. We had given up because many times we pulled in and they were not open. They post happy hour from 4-6, but would be closed. Have ate there before and it was good, so wanted to share it with husband and friends. Had the Italian pizza and we... More

I looked on the website, and saw that they had a happy hour. I arrived, only to find they closed sign in the window. Thinking someone I just forgot to flip the sign, I walked into the bar. Sitting at the table were several employees. They all stared at me when I walked in, I said "I saw on the... More

We ordered the rip eye steak. The genuinely friendly waitress informed us right from the start that it could take a little longer, since the restaurant was packed with guests. The steaks were simply awesome! Good meat, well cooked, and all that for a reasonable price! We couldn't have asked for more. This is a place where you want to... More

The food is better with every bite. I had the sesame pan seared ahi tuna on a bed of chilled angel hair that had been bathed in a home made Thai peanut sauce. The socks have been knocked OFF!! What a great surprise for this quality to be found in this little mountain town at th foot of Shasta.
