We went kayaking as a family group and had lunch at this by-the-side-of-the-road cafe. It was a great choice for both the children in the party, the fish-lovers and the vegetarians. Something for everyone and timely service despite the lunch crowd.

I've been coming to moss landing all my life but only visited here for the first time for breakfast the other day. I was very happy with the crab and shrimp scramble special. Beware that portions are large, mine probably had 2 potatoes worth of hash browns and 2 slices of thoroughly-buttered toast, but it's adds to the local charm.... More

It's right off the highway, doesn't have an ocean view, and the bathroom's outside, but we never miss this place when we're in the area. The fish is impeccably fresh, the service is old-fashioned friendly and homey. And the fried artichoke hearts ($6.95/basket) are so good they're worth the trip alone. The first time, we shared a basket, then ordered... More

We've been going to the Moss Landing Cafe for years now and today, my Wife's BD, was extra special. I just whispered it was her birthday and they comp'd us a home made slice of heaven, bread pudding! The menu is very diverse and features lots of local ingredients and character. For Great food and a comfortable, casual setting after... More

Excellent food and charming character keep me and my friends returning to this small cafe off Hwy in Moss Landing. From a full on breakfast to a steamed artichoke appetizer you will not regret your choice. Afterwards it's just a small jaunt to Moss Landing Harbor where sea otters, seals and sea lions can be seen from the shore.

I wasn't dissapointed but I wasn't impressed either. Their enclosed porch dinning room has nice views of the harbor and sea lions. Food was good but not amazing. Service was good as well but again nothing outstanding about this sea side restaurant. Wouldn't return only because this area offers so many amazing choices that I would prefer to discover some... First time customers. Only open for dinner Fri. And Sat. Nights. Really enjoyed the owner/chef with Food to back it up. The dinners were great and service very good. Make sure you save room for dessert.

This is a funky place that has really good food and incredible service. The waitress was so attentive and the owner/chef came out and asked each person how they like their meal.Great selection of seafood. I have been there for lunch meeting a colleague who works in Santa Cruz so this is a good half way point. She swears by... More
