I wasn't dissapointed but I wasn't impressed either. Their enclosed porch dinning room has nice views of the harbor and sea lions. Food was good but not amazing. Service was good as well but again nothing outstanding about this sea side restaurant. Wouldn't return only because this area offers so many amazing choices that I would prefer to discover some... First time customers. Only open for dinner Fri. And Sat. Nights. Really enjoyed the owner/chef with Food to back it up. The dinners were great and service very good. Make sure you save room for dessert.

Owners friendly and efficient. Made you feel like you were family. Food was fast and excellent. Presentation was great. I'm back there for more meals.

This is a funky place that has really good food and incredible service. The waitress was so attentive and the owner/chef came out and asked each person how they like their meal.Great selection of seafood. I have been there for lunch meeting a colleague who works in Santa Cruz so this is a good half way point. She swears by... More

Stopped in on route to Monterey, great atmosphere and Mark came out to fill out wine glass's. The specials were great and don't miss the deep fried artichoke hearts! Awesomely fresh food.

We had breakfast here and it was ok, but not great. Average, THREE SPOONS. I had the Raspberry French Toast and the wife an omelette. French Toast was good, but not great and the same with the omelette. Don't understand the high reviews. Might be for the lunch and dinner menus. Waitress was not a happy camper.

Your owner/host....Mark Coutts greets all his customers with a cheerful greeting...and a friendly smile. His breakfasts are fabulously organized....From his various omelets, with homemade fresh muffins, potato pancakes, and tasty Italian sausage patties! Top it off with his fantastic fried artichoke hearts.....For a lunch snack, try his open faced crab sandwich and clam chowder. On your way to Monterey, you... More

I have driven by Moss Landing a million times and almost every time, I see the Moss Landing Cafe and wonder if it's any good. So this weekend after 3 hours of heavy duty beach cleanup, I decided to stop in and feed my trash-fueled hunger. It was quiet and clean, post-breakfast rush and pre-lunch. I ordered the breakfast burrito... More

We stopped in after a chilly day at the beach. Just had clam chowder and bread. The clam chowder was a little different. More herby so to speak. But it was great! the chef treated us like we were special even though we only had a small order. Go for it if you are in the area BUT- call first... More

Stopped at "steamin hot coffee and espresso" at moss landing ca near the end of our third week in the usa. Panama coffee (high roast) with a hint of chocolate was the best so far. Inexpensive. Great service and fabulous coffee plus astonishing range of local fruit And veg in adjacent shops. A great start to big sur.
