Stopped at "steamin hot coffee and espresso" at moss landing ca near the end of our third week in the usa. Panama coffee (high roast) with a hint of chocolate was the best so far. Inexpensive. Great service and fabulous coffee plus astonishing range of local fruit And veg in adjacent shops. A great start to big sur.

Straight up good food. Not fancy or busy trying to redesign the recipe. Just simply delicious. It's a tiny place, with short hours, but worth it!

Great breakfast (and lunch) in a cozy atmosphere. Ate there several times. The best each time. We missed a special offering by the chef: Friday and Saturday nights are gourmet dinner evenings by reservation. So sorry we missed that opportunity but will be back!

We were pleasantly surprised - the food and service is well beyond what I would have expected for a 'cafe.' The small dining area was quiet enough for easy conversation. Mark's description of food was mouth watering. My Halibut was very good. My wife's Osso Bucco was delicious. We were asked what type of wine we preferred and then Mark... More

We stop here on the way to Santa Cruz because we saw the 'deep fried artichokes' sign. We got a plate for less than 7 bucks. Very good pit stop to better enjoy the trip. Waiter was kind and the food good

We ate here after an early whale watching boat trip and had a fantastic breakfast. We had the scramble special with artichokes, crab and shrimp and an omelet with artichokes and sausage. Both were delicious. The owner Mark seated us. Our server told us that everything is gluten free that is fried since they use rice panko breading - so... More

The fried artichokes were bland. Fish was fresh. Satisfactory, but would have liked more non-fried fresh fish choices and more salads. Prices seemed on the high side for the type of place it was. You had to go outside to the bathroom - not pleasant. Waitress was cheerful.

Been here a few times for breakfast. I've only had the breakfast burrito because it's the best I have ever had! Service is always great too. The atmosphere is perfect...down home! Today was extra special because we met and chatted with the owner "Mark" while we enjoyed our breakfast. He told all about his Friday and Saturday night gourmet meals...look... More

We walked in for a late breakfast on a Sunday and it was packed. We asked the guy at the counter how long he thought the wait would be. He said five minutes and offered to come get us from outside if we wanted to wait on the bench outside. It was so nice to not be expected to stand... More

It was around noon thats 12pm We ordered both items & 1 anchor steam for me. I never had this before so I was thrilled to give them a try. Both... More
