Good food, no ambiance.

We love their fettucini with crab and shrimp in saffron sauce. If you want to have their food and not eat at picnic tables, get the food to go. This is a very popular place, lines out the door on weekends.

Incredibly fresh fish and seafood sourced from neighbouring harbour at this cool, fun and cosy restaurant. A seafood foodie's paradise, though beware of the voracious seagulls on the terrace!

That's right, you go here for the FOOD. Finny fish, shellfish, and bivalves -- broiled, fried, on noodles, or stewed. Irresistable: sardines in season, mussels, cioppino, oysters, sand dabs. Everything from appetizers/small plates to salads, sandwiches, pasta, stews, and fancy(ish) entrees. This is a classic seafood market restaurant. The atmosphere is informal, friendly, and crowded, right next to the fishing... More

A long queue to order the food, the place was recommended as a place for good seafood and the food was ok but pricey, but the general cleanliness was sub standard. The whole place needs a good clean. Could be great with a bit more love from the management.

I had a great experience at Phils having had lunch there on back to back days. It just does not get any better than munching on your food, wind in the hair and listening to the surf crash in the background. I tried a couple of different dishes on my two visits and both were okay, nothing special. The portions... More

The seafood here was very fresh and well-cooked but being from New Orleans, I have to say that nothing beats their seafood. But overall I really enjoyed the food as well as the upbeat energy of the restaurant.

This place is off the beaten path a bit, but worth the trouble (parking). You order at the counter and wait for your food to be delivered to your table, but it is WELL worth the wait. The portions are dinner sized all day, and a LARGE dinner size at that. We each ordered meals on our visit, but watching... More

This is one of those restaurants you have to visit just to say you've been there. Stand in line, order and the counter and get a number, watch the world around you and enjoy some of the best seafood in Northern California. If seafood is not your thing, they have all sorts of other items on the menu but everyone... More

After a late niht at work, hubby brought me here on the way to San Jose. Something about a Throwdown with Bobby Flay? At any rate, I passed on the famed Cioppino and went with a simple Halibut and Chips with some clam chowder to start. Hubby ordered oysters and chips. Clam chowder was thick and flavorful. Not as peppery... More

We were on our way from San Jose to Monterey and stopped in for lunch. Don't let the outside fool you, the food on the inside is great. We ordered the lobster roll and the flounder like fillets. The Lobster roll was the big winner. Huge chunks of lobster with tons of flavor. Also, we sat outside with a view... More
