This is why we live in California

Some might say this is quintessential California - but the coast is so long and so different from north to south. However, if you mean laid back, gorgeous Pacific views - in season you could see a whale spout -, dogs allowed on outdoor patio, fire pit with comfy chairs, this is your place. Food... read more

Nice bar and lawn overlooking the Pacific Ocean. A very good environment to hang out and enjoy a beautiful coastal day.

simple cooking, mostly deep fried, heavy. This place lives from the great location. But imagine what a good cook could there ... Overpriced. Why the house wine needs to be priced at 10 times the cost?

Their food was very good, and we particularly enjoyed the oysters and beer. The place is very cozy, perfect for having some down time with your family or friends over a good meal and spectacular views of the beach and ocean. We would have stayed on the patio but it was too cold for us even with the fireplace outside.... More

Fab location on the cliff above the beach. We ate on the terrace and you have to place your order and fetch your own drinks. For food orders, you are given a beeper which tells you when your food is ready, and you go and get your order from inside. My kale and quinoa salad was delicious, as was the... More

We eat here often and I was surprised to learn that I had not reviewed it. This is located in an old speakeasy at the top of the bluffs. It has a sweeping view of the ocean and Seal Cove. There are fire pits and blankets outside, which is a popular place to have a drink and watch the sunset.... More

Went for Sunday Brunch on a beautiful sunny day just over a week ago. The inside views are lovely and the garden was busy with walkers, cyclists, dogs and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The food was excellent, really good pastries and I'm not usually a fan but these were very fresh. Nice sparkling wine and then... More

This is a former speakeasy, where the some pretty famous people used to gather to eat, dance and drink. Down below, on what used to be a deserted beach, rum runners from Canada off-loaded their wares, to be carried up the cliffs and into the restaurant's garage for the folks upstairs to imbibe. AND there's said to be a resident... More

Six of us had lunch here on an unusually warm February day. We ate outside on the dog-friendly patio. The patio is very casual and downstairs from the indoor dining areas. There is no table service. You order upstairs at the bar. When the signaling device activates you pick up your food at the bar and take it to your... More

We love this place. Situated on a cliff over looking the Pacific. The service is outstanding the food is better than just good. The history of the place (printed on menu and captioned pictures throughout) is fun and fascinating. The Lady Ghost, prohibition days etc..
