Can be great with friends or for an intimate romantic dinner (choose the booth).Great choices for fresh seafood, vegetarian, teak, or lamb specials. Their sampler platter is a good appetizer choice. Save room for the creme brule or tangerine sorbet. All fresh local ingredients. Can be busy on weekends. Only open for dinner. Mid week is very pleasantly quiet, food... More

Cafe Gibraltar is just a short 10 minute drive up the coast from Half Moon Bay. A little hard to find, so use your GPS. The food is a bit eclectic, but mostly middle eastern, but the quality!! Every dish we had was outstanding and fresh, the taste combinations stimulating, the preparation excellent. It is considered the finest restaurant on... More

This is my favorite restaurant on the coast. The delicious crudos are whatever fish is the most fresh, combined with subtle herbs and spices, every entree is distinctive and the desserts are worth saving space for.

We had a great dinner at Cafe Gibraltar. We got to sit at one of the Moroccan style tables. For our meal we ordered the Accara (black eyed peas fritters), which were fried and a little dense and not really what I was expecting, the artichoke soup, which was good, and my husband had the Crudo, which he enjoyed. We had a great wait staff, very attentive, but not over board. I was disappointed by the portion size compared to the price.

The food here is really inventive, the chef is truly gifted. The service is not up to par with the food, and it can be drafty inside. Go hungry, go for the food. You will be pleased!

I am a Coastsider and Cafe Gibralter is one of my favorite restaurants. There have been rumors that the owners are going to close and sell-out for years, but they just keep on going. This is a Mediterranean restaurant, and quite frankly you never know what they will have on the menu. There are some booths where you can sit... More

We go to Cafe Gibralter when we have out of town guest, or for a special date night. We always enjoy our meal. Delicious food, great service.

We never miss stopping here when we are in the area. They have a varied menu, mediterranean fusion approach with fabulous sauces, a good wine list, and unusual and irresistible desserts. We have had a consistently good dining experience here.
