Dockside offers two choices. The restaurant indoors for a good lunch or dinner experience. Choose the daily fresh seafood special and you will be well-pleased. Behind the restaurant is the Dockside fresh fish market and outdoor cafe. On a sunny afternoon in Morro Bay, you can't beat some fish & chips or chowder, sitting on a dock over the harbor.... More

Can't go wrong. If the weather is nice, don't eat in the restaurant, go around the corner and eat at the outdoor Tognazzini. The food is great, a little less expensive than the restaurant, and you can enjoy the views and harbor. There is always some kind of entertainment and always busy. The service is fast and the food is... More

We chose to eat here twice during our trip to Morro Bay because of the outstanding fish and chips. The servers were friendly and efficient. The view was a little obscured as it is located on the dock (hence the name Dockside), not directly on the water. Not a place for a romantic interlude, but just a great friend and... More

Boyfriend and I drove by and saw, "BBQ Oysters $1" and being suckers for BBQ oysters we decided to park and go. Upon arriving at the place, we saw that the sign was actually, "BBQ Oysters $1.95" but the "95" was written very small. For the first time in my life, I literally had to read the fine print! Anyway,... More

The ice machine was so loud you could barely talk. Add to that the kind of sea food you can get at any average seafood place and it just didn't work for us. We wouldn't go back despite a nice staff and reasonable prices.

Right down by the water. Fresh fish. The clam chowder was excellent. Our mains were 'fine' but not outstanding. Service was prompt and friendly. Would I eat here again - yes

Asked some shop owners for the best place to eat and unanimously this was the place to go. Had a short wait for a table but nothing really to speak of. There appeared to be local folks at most of the tables judging from the first name terms from and to staff. The chowder and fish and chips were superb... More

We went to Dockside 2 and sat outside with our dog. It is the most dog friendly place I have been too, as they provide leashes to tether your pooch close to your table. There was a musician playing, and the sun was setting. We had a bottle of wine, which was not marked up at all ($12?). I probably... More

Food was overall B +, we were seated right next to the toilet which is a big thumbs down. Clam chowder had few clams but was creamy and somewhat bland, the crab sandwich was very nice, the crab cocktail tasted like frozen crab, steamed clams were very nice

The fish comes in on the docks and you can have it prepared on the spot. The Fish could not be fresher. Go fo lunch at Dockside too, and hear great local Jazz while basking in the sun.
