Family Owned Fresh Fish

Camping in our vintage trailer at Morro Bay State Park we headed up to see the elephant seals and then to dinner in Morro Bay. There a many resturants to choose from on the bay. This one I believe is the best. The reasons are simple. Family owned and operated. RIght on the docks. Very fresh... read more

One of the best seafood dinners I've ever had to break my Ash Wednesday fast. Oysters on the half shell are local, briny and delicious as the sea. Amazing swordfish steak. Easy walk from Morro Rock. Friendly, jovial waitstaff who are very knowledgable about the fish they serve. Will definitely be back.

There is a difference between Halibut up north, and California Halibut. I asked the waiter if it was from up north, and he gave me the wrong answer. I ordered it, but didn't eat it. The restaurant made it good, offered me anything else, and was genuine in their offer to replace it. I have gone other times, and enjoyed... More

When traveling the coast, seeking sea food, my wife's desire is a great view. I desire great food. At dockside, the view was working dock. From my seat, all I saw was an old truck & a C train. No beer on tap. (But the bottled was ice cold!). I was thinking maybe we'd made a mistake. Then a plate... More

The best fish in Morro Bay. Very local, very down home. Nothing fancy. Been in business forever. Family owned and operated.

Great little restaurant. We started our relationship with this restaurant from its beginning. The owner, Mark, is also a fisherman, so expect to be served only the best. The quality of the food is consistent, and the restaurant is clean. The chef has a flair for making all that's served good and pleasing to the eye.

We try to eat here at least once when we're in MB. The seafood is as fresh as it can possibly be and they often run really interesting specials based on recent fishing boat hauls. This past trip they featured an Italian creation of scallops on eggplant rounds covered in a seriously delicious tomato pasta sauce under a blanket of... More

Picture a cold, windy, rainy evening at a place that is normally warm and sunny. Add to this setting, a bus load of 22 people driving up to your relatively small amount of inside seating restaurant with NO reservation with a request to be seated and served quickly. What to do? Well, this restaurant and its staff, smiled and said... More

This very cute place is dog friendly, out on their deck. Good informal seafood dining. There was even a band playing when we had lunch!

Outside seating (plus inside also) right on the water. Watch the fish boats unload, the seals and sea otters playing. Do not feed the sea gulls though..they will take you for everything you have. Everything. Food is as fresh as it gets and there is lots of it. Delicious. Especially love the oysters that they raise right there in the... More
