Unpretentious and delicious; just what seafood should be.

We stopped here after the #1 seafood restaurant, Galley's, had a hour wait and a local pointed us here. So glad we did! The person who greeted us had a fantastic humor and put us at ease instantly. We knew this was our kind of place. We went way overboard on the food since we come from the desert... read more

The restaurant was packed and there was a 30 minute wait so we just got clam chowder to go. We took it back to our hotel room and it was the best I have ever had. I also got a salad and it was really fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend it.

The Dockside was recommended to me during a hunting trip, by someone who is used to good, local, fresh food. So, I figured it would have to be fresh. Always the first consideration for seafood!! I wasn't disappointed. They start everyone with warm bread and garlic butter, and a plate of pickled vegetables. I followed that with a really nice... More

I had a delicious meal here for a very reasonable price. The fish was fresh and cooked just right. It was nice to be able to look out over the harbor and also watch people walk by.

This is a very nice seafood restaurant that is well thought of locally. The fish is local and fresh, well cooked and nicely presented. The ambiance is good, but a little quirky, not too romantic. The wait can be a little during peak hours, but it usually goes pretty fast. Although it is on the embarcadero, there isn't one of... More

This place has wonderful seafood options! ALSO, They have a fresh fish market! We are campers and every single time we come to Morro Bay State park we stop here at the Dockside Fish market and buy the fresh (catch of the day) and take it back to camp. Seared AHI is our all time favorite. Also, try their canned... More

There were 6 of us. Two ordered the fresh cod fish n chips and they were too thin and dry, but not offensive. The slaw was very good. The best order was the raw tuna. We also ordered fresh oysters, which are cheapest if you shuck them yourself. We bought a shucker but couldn't split all of them; thankfully, the... More

If you are within 100 miles of Morro Bay and you miss this one i feel sorry for you. Better than any place on the Monterrey Peninsula. The oysters are bbqed in butter and garlic. THEY are HUGE and for only $2 each. It is also a fish market. You eat outside on a wooded deck about 1 foot from... More

This is more like a small beach cafe with picnic tables outside and a fire to warm one self. There is a respectable availability of bottled beer. There are lots of different sea food choices. We just wanted a snack this time, so just had a cup of clam chowder. It was good. Service was OK.

Great food. I highly recommend the barbecued oysters and the fish and chips. It's an older restaurant so if your looking for atmosphere this isn't the place. But if fresh, delicious seafood is your main priority than this is the place.
