Surprisingly excellent fish and chips

Just a small dockside patio restaurant where you go inside to place your order and select your own condiments from a wheeled cart. OK, I know that Tognazzinis is known for their seafood, and I do love their grilled scallops!! But their burgers are incredible, too. I like them pretty plain, maybe with some grilled onions and some blue cheese. My husband gets the mushroom cheese burger, and honestly, it is about 8" tall. You'll swear you won't be able to finish it,... More

Went here based on other reviews and have to say we were pretty disappointed. We've been to Tognazzini's Dockside Too for BBQ oysters and enjoyed our meal there so wanted to try the restaurant. While the fish is obviously very fresh, preparation wasn't that great. I was tempted to tell the chef to lay off the salt and let the... More

With your kids? This is the place! While enjoying a beer and reading the menu......Two tables nearby were filled with laughing parents and happy children. I tried some fish & chips, along with a GOOD clam chowder....enjoyed the meal....BUT the best part was watching the kids smiling, talking with other kids, and being spoiled by their parents and friends.... Try... More

Dockside was recommended to me on a business trip and I'm glad I was able to lunch here. I went 3 times in a week and it was always packed. I had an 20 minutes average wait. The view is amazing. I tried the fish tacos, the salmon with dill sauce and shark with chips. Two thumbs up! Service is... More

I have identified a few places that excel in fish tacos, and Tognazzinis Dockside Restaurant is at the top of the list. Ask for grilled, not breaded and you will enjoy a real treat! The fish is moist and flavorful, the sauce, cheese, shredded cabbage, etc was extremely fresh. You get three large tacos - more than enough for the... More

We went to the restaurant and ordered the fish and chips. The fries were very good and so was the clam chowder. The fish on the other hand was not very appetizing and still think Rose's Landing had the best fish.

We have eaten at Tognazzini's on numerous occasions. The specialty dishes have proved to be excellent on my last two visits. The chef on these occasions presented the entre with flavors/ingredients that added to and blended perfectly with the fresh fish.

After asking a few locals and getting the same recommendation from all of them, we went to The dockside. This is the quintessential family style restaurant right on the fishing dock. We loved their food so much we went there two nights in a row while we were in Morro Bay for a short getaway. I had a seafood spaghetti... More
