For more than ten years, I have frequented the Blue Skye Cafe, back when the owner was Skye. The present owner has changed the name to Blue Sky Bistro. Over the years I extolled the hot meatloaf sandwich to my friends, and the LA Times newspaper published my letter praising the sandwich, and the restaurant. But this year, some thing... More

We stopped here because there was seating right on the pier and it had simpler good like burgers and sandwiches, salads, soups. Good choice of beer on tap. They had nice live music as it was a weekend. Not overly loud which we appreciated. Food was good but not spectacular. Good sized portions and reasonably priced. My husband got a... More

We tried the meatloaf and pastrami sandwiches, the lobster bisque and the lentil soup - loved it all! Family friendly and conveniently located along the Embarcadero.

We spent two nights in Mooro Bay on our Californian roadtrip. Our inn didn't service breakfast, so we went out looking for a nice breakfast place. We only found the Blue Sky Bistro that served more like a traditional breakfast and not only coffee, pancakes and cookies, which isn't my idea of a breakfast. The Blue Sky Bistro has an... More

There's a place called the Blue Sky Bistro in Morro Bay, which sits overlooking the water. You can see Morro Rock and Estero Bay from wherever you sit, whether your inside the restaurant or on the patio. The food is amazingly delicious, but my wife and I will literally drive down there on a whim, just to eat the Lobster... More

We enjoyed dinner and a chance to try a few new items. The fresh catch was good, not great but good. The steak was very good, not great but very good. The appetizers were the king here.

NOT a tasteless tourist-trap, this harborside bistro offers a scrumptious lobster bisque set to the music of barking sea lions and chatting fishermen on the dock just below. Grab a beer and bask in the bay breeze on the patio of this chill nosh spot. Do it!
