We've eaten here for years and love it! The owners love what they do, the food reflects their love and care. The menu is varied and excellent and their collection of wine changes frequently and is always good. Their desserts...well, they're too good, especially the mud pie. Oh my! For lighter meals, the fresh fish of the day salad is... More

We camped at the beautiful Morro Bay State Park with the intent of some fireside hotdogs. A short walk away we found the Bayside Cafe and after a brief look at their menu opted to forgo the hot dogs and enjoy this restaurant They had a great menu and we struggled on what to order as it all looked great.... We have been twice now in less than a week. The seating both inside and on the patio is very comfortable & accommodating. We have not had better fish and chips anywhere in the Morro Bay Area. The grilled fish tacos were very delicious. The Berry Cobbler was also quite tasty.

This is our second occasion to eat at Bayside Cafe. We've eaten there two years in a row. Sometimes restaurants vary a great deal but not this one. There were six of us and each thought it excellent. The menu was varied, the service excellent and the food equally so. My wife and I split a large fish and chip... More

Living locally we find ourselves returning Bayside Cafe with the hope that maybe we just choose the wrong items last time. The salads are mostly lettuce, the sandwiches heavy on the bread and buns, lots of fish items but not always local. Mediocre lunch items at best. Good desserts. No reservations taken and seating only allowed when your entire party... More

Much better than you would expect tucked away in the State Park Marina. The food is excellent, but due to its popularity, there is often a wait. Inside and outside service, and the service is usually pretty good. Nice views and sounds of the seaside enhance the experience. Pretty romantic for a cafe.

Great food, outside and inside dining. Right on the marina! A break from the hustle and bustle of the busy embarcadero.

I have lived in Morro Bay for 25 years and I love my fish and chips, but these are hands-down the best. I even worked in a seafood restaurant/market for a few years and still believe that these are just amazing. I would highly recommend anything on the menu, but my favorite is the fish and chips. The fish is... More

Bayside Cafe is alway on our must-do list when staying in Cayucos. Good food, good wine list, great staff, fun dining inside or out. Romantic spot at a patio table on a cool night.
