Very good food and lovely waterfront view. Could be cleaner.

I will begin with the good: My wife and I chose Rose's because it had the waterfront patio seating and is dog friendly. We took a table for two that was right next to the window overlooking the harbor. We had a wonderful view of the harbor. I ordered the seafood platter and she had the chicken... read more

This could be a great place if they cleaned it up and had better customer service. The waiter had a bloody nose and a bloody tissue stuffed in his nostril to slow the flow. The barmaid was too busy talking with friends and eating to provide prompt service. The table tops felt sticky. The windows were badly spotted. And an... More

My husband and I have been going to Morro Bay since 2011 and we have tried all sorts of restaurants. Let me tell you that Rose's has the best, creamy, flavorful clam chowder. The fish and chips were awesome as well. Very light and clean fish.

Went there on a whim while in CA for business. The view was as good as it gets of the Bay here. The bar had happy hour drinks as well as a happy hour menu of calamari and other lightly fried foods and some salads. I ordered calamari and naked wings with the sauce on the side. The calamari was... More

Good food and good service. I will visit again. I can say for certain the owner does care about her restruant. My husband and I had a bad experience at Rose's and the owner asked us to visit again. She promised a much better experience and it certainly was much better. Thank you again.

Two weeks before Valentine's Day I made a dinner reservation. Three days before Valentine's Day I received a call informing me that an employee had made a mistake and the restaurant policy is not to take reservations on holidays. I asked to speak with the owner about this policy, but he was not available so I asked to have him... More

I love the bar here. It has a great view of Morro rock but even better ... The Bloody Mary's. The bartender really puts a lot of work into each one. It has a kind of pirate ship feel (at the bar). Also the crab melt is what brought me back each time.

This restaurant is located right on the water. We watched the sea lions and pelicans as we ate our meal. I had a perfect taco salad and my wife had shrimp tacos. The tortilla shell my salad was presented in was very rare I ate the whole thing!!! It wasn't the least bit greasy nor did it have a stale... More

Good: Seafood was fresh and prepared well. Nice patio with bay and rock view, pet friendly. Friendly staff. Not-so-good: my wife ordered tonic water, and she complained that it smells like seals in aquarium nearby. I though she exaggerated... Hell no! It was totally undrinkable, and she even was too polite describing the smell. OK, they changed it to Pepsi...... More

We stopped here because they served some Mexican food and had a full bar (for some strange reason, all Mexican Restaurants in Morro Bay do not have a full bar). The drinks were tasty but were all on the weak side. The nachos were excellent...piled high with black beans and great shredded beef. This place did not seem very inviting... More
