Good place to eat lunch or diner. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Order and pay at the counter, recommend the Rubin sandwich on marble rye you won't go wrong.
We just happened to stop at Hafbrau for lunch last week and were very happy that we did. The view of Morro Rock was outstanding! The Roast Beef sandwiches were excellent and the Clam Chowder was very good. The portions were large and the staff were friendly and sincerely thanked us for our visit. We'll return!!
This place has some average things on the menu, but the real magic can be found on the specials board if you are lucky. We saw a foreign sounding name we weren't familiar with and asked about it. It was an indonesian type dish with shards of beef mixed into a noodle dish packed with a nice punch. The staff... More
My family ate here while we were in town for the week and the food was great. The service was excellent and helpful in trying to figure out what the kids will like to eat. I really enjoyed the roast beef sandwich. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the bay. Very homey feel.

Perhaps mustard was available but our outdoor table only had ketchup. The view out onto Morro Bay is excellent and the sounds... More
If you are in Morro Bay and hungry, the Hofbrau has the best deli type sandwiches you will find. I love the French dip - carved as you watch. Even the "mini" is big and filling. Highly recommend.
Hofbrau, located right on the Embarcadero, offers a wide array of hand-carved sandwiches in a very casual atmosphere. When we first walked in, I thought the prices were high for "sandwiches," but the portions are huge. Four of us each had something different: I had the Reuben sandwich, which was very good but way too much for me. My boyfriend... More
I was looking for a quick bite and found a great find here. I had the fish & chips, which were very good. I saw them preparing roast beef sandwhiches that made my mouth water! Will try that next time.
I've eaten here 3 or 4 times and I've never liked it. My husband wants to only eat here when we're in Morro Bay. I've tried different things, but I'm just not happy. The salads are not that good and you can only choose two toppings which aren't good anyway. People go here for the roast beef French dips and... More
