If you want a quick and good lunch, this is the place. They have giant slab of roast beef and slice it off right in front of you. They have a great selection of sandwich's and fast service and reasonable prices for the area.

We were newbies here. We were looking for a simple, no fuss meal. This was the best place for what we were looking for. There were 2 very nice young ladies running the front. They gave a quick explanation of what to do like give her the order, find a seat and they will bring your order to you. Simple.... More

Walked the length of the Embarcadero and picked this place for dinner. The roast beef with au jus sandwich was even better than it looked. Had the chili cheese fries with it and was super pleased. Why have just regular fries when chili and cheese are on hand? Loved the food.

I'm a girl with simple tastes and I can definitely say that the cod I had at the Hofbrau was the best I've ever tasted. Better even than any I've had at home or anywhere in England. The chips weren't bad either.

Can't miss this place. Food is excellent! Never had a bad experience. The BBQ Beef sandwich is the bomb.

We stopped in for a bread bowl of clam chowder and a beer, service was quick and friendly and they had the best prices, 2 bread bowls and beers less than $20

This is a very good way to end your Big Sur drive south (which is what we did). Good food, good portions, good option for those NOT into seafood. very much recommended!

Hofbrau has the best Roast Beef French Dip in SLO County. When you walk in you are staring at the carving station with this huge Roast Beef slab of meat. They slice it as you order with or without cheese, Provolone for me please! Then they put the sandwich in to this steamer so the bread is HOT and soft.... More

The meal was okay, nothing spectacular. Had the brats & sauerkraut which was a lot of food. Would have tried the french dip but the roast beef looked too well done for me.

We had been traveling all day and just wanted a casual place with a view of the water and this worked out for us. We had the fish and chips and that with a cold brew hit the spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the view of Morro Bay is very good from both.
