Our party of three wanted just enough to hold us over through the Christmas Flotilla's light show. We all had Fish and Chips, and everyone spoke well of their meal. Great malt vinegar on the table...just well presented. Passing by the sausages, soups, salad makings was torture, as I was hungry.

The local beers were just right to compliment the deep fried EVERYTHING. Squid is a very fickle meat to cook, too short ~ good, however just a little too long, a rubber band would be less chewy.... The pigeons cleaning the floor were a plus and all the kids thought it was a real thrill to watch..... The combination of... More

Enjoy a bowl of excellent clam chowder especially since there was about a 20 minute wait at Giovannis - usually have beef sandwiches here too, but cutting down on beef, chowder was a great value at $5.85/bowl, nice view, very casual

Typical Hof Brau layout and food. I must disclose that I am a vegetarian. Still found a few things in the menu to choose from. Settled on a veggie burger and my friend a fish n chips. Adequate servings, though nothing special. People around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. Beautiful views of the sunset.

Following a lot of great reviews, we went to this restaurant. I took a turkey sandwich which I had to throw away after a couple of bites as I didn't expect the turkey to be.. boiled. Not sure if it's my lack of familiarity with German cuisine or the dish I chose was simply not to my taste, but even... More

On the main boardwalk at Morro Bay, but in back (facing the bay) is a hidden food-gem. The Hofbrau carries an assortment of German beers, an array of side dishes, and several meat sandwich choices that make it oh so hard to choose. Everything looked, smelled and tasted great! We had a beef dip (tender, juicy, pink, and tasty) and... More

Great view of the sun setting and the rock. I had the prime rib and clam chowder. The prime rib was good and the bread was perfect. All accompanied by a Hofbrau hefe draft while sitting on their deck with a great view.

They have the best French dip around, and the view of the estuary is so peaceful. I also love their clam chowder in the winter, makes my day!

We had the Clam Chowder in a bread bowl and Fish, shrimp, and Fries. Everything was great. The clam chowder was very hot and seasoned just right with a lot of clams and other great stuff. The Deep fried shrimp, Fish and chips were battered just right and tasted great. This is the first time I tried the Fish, shrimp,... More
