A perfect place for our anniversary dinner, Windows on the Water offers upscale dining in a laid-back beachfront community. The dining room is bright and airy with windows all around, so the glorious view of Morro Bay and the Rock is visible from any vantage. We were greeted with a "Happy Anniversary" and seated at a terrific window table (my... More

My husband and I dined at three restaurants in Morro Bay during a recent trip and this one is neck and neck with The Galley. We personally preferred The Galley, but a younger hipper crowd might well prefer Windows on the Water (Windows has a bar scene and is larger than The Galley). The view, food and service was all... We stumbled accross this place by accident and after a few hit and misses in Morro Bay, we were delighted we found this. We sat at the bar and had the best service from Wendy. The pan seared scallops were some of the best I have had and I live in Napa Valley which is really saying something. The oyster... More

It was lovely watching seals play in the water from our table by the window. The service here is excellent. They try very hard to ensure you are in need of nothing. The drinks were fine, and there is a varied wine list. The menu is varied enough and food is very nicely presented, and was quite tasty. This is... More

Food is great, the staff are fun and the bar special's are perfect. We enjoyed their Monday music and martini night. The grilled pizza is to die for.

We've eaten here 2 nights in a row and had a great experience both nights. The dishes are creative and delicious and priced reasonably for the quality. I like that they offer a half glass of wine. Sometimes you want just a little more to finish out the meal. Most of the seating has a view of the bay and... More

Fortunately we stumbled upon this restaurant after a 10 hr drive!! We just made the sunset and had a stunning view of the sun setting behind Morrow Rock from our table. Our waiter Chris was fab! The food (we ordered sand dabs which we'd never heard of and Scallops that melted in the mouth!) was exquisite! Compliments sent to the... More

We had a lovely evening out and enjoyed sitting by the window to watch the boats come in and out and the view of the beautiful Morro Rock. Their wine list is extensive so we took some time picking something out. Our server did not try to help us or make any recommendation and she made a bit of a... More

This was our first dinner spot on a three-night trip to the CA central coast area. We were seated at a window overlooking Morro Rock, the harbor and bay, with the sun setting over the rock. Great view but we had to wear sun glasses for the early part of the meal. The food and service were very good, and... More

Excellent restaurant with a beautiful view over Morro Bay harbor serving great food. I can highly recommend the Dungeness Ginger Crab Cake as a starter followed by the Linguine pasta as main, both prepared most excellent. Actually one of the best meals I’ve had in the US. Defiantly worth a visit.
