Outstanding location and view overlooking Morro Bay. We were looking for something a bit less expensive but in the end it was worth every cent. This was one of the best seafood meals I have ever had. Everything was very well prepared, presented and very tasty. I'm not surprised that this is near the top of the list in Morro... More

First of all, the food was excellent. Local catch is available; I had a sweet, breaded sand dabs. The abalone salad is also very good. The crab chowder bouillon is also excellent. Good central-coast wine selection. However, the real prized is the view across the bay of Morro Rock. All in all, a lovely evening.

Our first time at Windows on the Water. Very nice view and good service. I had Ahi and my wife had Rack of Lamb. My wife really enjoyed her dinner. My dinner was good, but not as good as another Morro Bay restaurant the night before, so I think my expectations were real high. It is an excellent restaurant and... More

I've eaten here several times for business meetings. The main reason we go here is due to the views of Morrro Bay harbor. The food is pricey and not really memorable. If you're going out for a great meal, find somewhere else. If you want a table to talk and look at the bay, then this will work for you,... More

Had a great meal overlooking the water as the sun was setting. Great service. Enjoyed the diver scallops, prepared perfectly. Very relaxing and not too fancy.

We've stayed in Morro Bay 3 times and each time we've dined at Windows on the Water for dinner. The first time we Yelped a restaurant that was open when we arrived and we lucked out with a late opening at WotW. Food was delicious, views are excellent and the staff is friendly. It just so happened that our waitress... More

We visit Morro Bay once a year. We dine at all the restaurants on the Embarcadero. Two of the finest in terms of elegance, fine dining, and service is The Galley and Windows on the Water. We had never tried Windows before as we thought the food might be a little too chi-chi or too gourmet for our taste. We... More

This is indeed a fine restaurant and every time my wife and I passed near Morro Bay we patronized it. On Aug. 14 we were hosting a European executive and wanting to show her the best of the USA we took her to this restaurant where we were seated right next to a dog. The dog was supposed to be... We had a group of six for a dinner at Window on the Water recently. Every dish served was excellent and the service was great without being overbearing. I found that the food while not inexpensive was so good that the value is definitely there because of the outstanding quality. I had the Caesar Salad with White Anchovy and Seared... More

Recommended by locals-did not disappoint. Showed up at 5 on Saturday night with later reservation. Seated right next to window. Unusual, but good broth-based clam chowder. Great wine list.
