My hubby and I (from out of town) and a friend (a local) went here for lunch. We had heard it was good and -- it did not disappoint! The building is somewhat plain -- but all was forgiven in that department when the food arrived! Wow! I had a carnitas tostada that was without a doubt the best carnitas... More

Taco Temple describes itself as "California style Mexican food." What that translates to is Mexican themed food. The ingredients are extraordinarily fresh and the proportions are huge (my wife and I split a veggie burrito and could barely finish it). There is also a complementary chips and salsa bar that is inviting. If you're hungry and like Mexican-seasoned food, this... More

Great Food (but they tend to run out of things if you get there to late). We went with a party of 10 people, had to wait a little bit (45 min) before we were seated. During they wait they offer you complimentary chips & salsa. The kids ate so much of it, that they weren't hungry anymore. The portions... More

We were craving real Mexican food on our nostalgic trip up the west coast and we came a crossed this really unique little food place. It was just off the main road and we choose here over a couple of other nicer looking restaurants on the same street, because they were busy, only draw back for us was they only... More

Can you say fresh fish tacos, burritos and enchiladas but kicked up a few notches! Well after reviewing several fish houses in the Morro Bay area we decided to check out this location. Not fancy just plain great fresh fish dishes with a slight Cal-Mex. twist. They had King Salmon, potato con chorizo taquitos and sweet potato enchiladas on to... More

Friends took us here while we were vacationing in Cayucas Bay. We ordered the killer alaskan cod taco and the carnitas taco. Both entrees were inexpensive (under $5) and the portion was huge. Fresh cod lightly grilled and the carnitas was slightly charred which was scrumptous, served over two corn tortillas and a mound of fresh mixed green. Our friends... More

If you don't mind a cafeteria like setting, and you shouldn't, don't miss this restaurant. the "taco" is a misnomer. Sure there is a tortilla at the bottle of the plate, but over is a perfectly cooked fresh fish---the best Ive had--over delectably fresh salad. The only thing wrong with this place is that the tap water did not taste... More

Really excellent. Portion sizes are very generous without skimping on the meat. Setting gives a very genuine feel to the place, and the desserts are surprisingly good. Worth a journey

This place isn't fancy, the service is great and food is fresh, local, and tasty. It's away from the embarcadero, but not by much! Cash only kinda place. It's the kinda place you see on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. You will not leave this place unsatisfied. This is not authentic Mexican food-California fusion! It says so REAL BIG on... More

This is a wonderful place. Really unique Mexican food. Very busy too. They take only cash or local checks - so be aware of that. This is a super informal beach-vibe kind of place. You will probably have to wait outside for 20 minutes or so on the weekends. But they food is yummy and plentiful and the price is... More
