This is a wonderful place. Really unique Mexican food. Very busy too. They take only cash or local checks - so be aware of that. This is a super informal beach-vibe kind of place. You will probably have to wait outside for 20 minutes or so on the weekends. But they food is yummy and plentiful and the price is... More

Finally made it to Taco Temple and it was really good, but wouldn't you know it I was short on foldling cash money so I had to walk over to Spencer's market to use the ATM machine. Don't forget, Taco Temple takes cash only. Well after that little delay we got a table and helped ourselves to the chips and... More

Food was ok. Was searching for some fish tacos and found this place. Our food was fine, just covered with a large amount of lettuce and cabbage. So much that there was no way of picking them up and eating them. I looked around the room and it seems to be kinda their thing, as most tables had the same... More

The name of this restaurant caught my attention while on my bike ride down highway 1. I ordered a scallop taco that was pricy ($20.00). I couldn't believe how big and tasty this taco was.Huge blackened sea scallops on a garden of lettuce and veggies. Absolutely the best taco ( if you can call it that) I have ever had.... More

We stopped here on our way from Cambria to Santa Barbara - what a great restaurant!! From the shrimp tacos to carnitas tostada to the beef burrito, everything is very fresh and very delicious.

This is a hidden gem. The food is wonderful, fresh ingredients. Some items a little pricey but well worth it! Carnitas platter is incredible.

Came here after seeing the great reviews on Trip Advisor - we certainly weren't disappointed. We ordered tostadas and they were great. There was so much chicken on mine I couldn't finish it! My boyf had cod and said it tasted delicious. The salad that came with them was lovely and fresh. Free tortilla chip bar was an added bonus.... More

We tried to go to Taco Temple our first day in the area, but saw the huge line and went to Chapala's instead (a nice, authentic alternative). We tried again the next day, arriving as it opened, and were very pleased with the entire experience. The service is extremely friendly. They have self-serve homemade chips and salsa that you can... This fun, quirky California fusion restaurant is one the of the most awesome spots on the coast. Innovative menu items and thoroughly unique decor will win you over before your plate touches the table. The staff is energetic and welcoming and the salsa good enough to eat with a fork. I had a burrito the size of my head but... More

Pros: The food! The chicken tacos were unique, quite filling and were very flavorful and the nachos were huge and yummy. Oh, and don't forget the tortilla chips ~ thin and crispy to perfection. Cons: Even on a Wednesday night, they ran out of enchiladas and carne asada. (How does a restaurant do that?) It's cash only. There was a... More
