Good but pricy

Fish tacos were fresh, tasty and nicely seasoned. We liked the chips and salsa too but the prices were high. Atmosphere eclectic- like an old surf shop.

There was quite a line when my son and I arrived at Taco Temple, but we stayed based on a recommendation of a local and the good reviews we read on Yelp. We were very happy we waited through 10 or more other names before we were called to our table. I had the soup of the day, which was... More

Recommended by a local. The portions were huge. The scallops were good but the carnitas were disappointing. Boxed up the remainder of the carnitas and ended up throwing it away. Place was crowded but server was friendly.

Reviews here led us to try this place and we were certainly not disappointed! Two chicken tacos are a meal for two people....generous shredded chicken seasoned and moist with shredded cabbage, some greens cheese, and a tasty cilantro lime dressing! Our ravenous teen enjoyed a monster beef burrito and will finish it later since I think it weighed at least... More

I had to drive to San Simeon, so I asked some friends if they could recommend a place for lunch. They all agreed . . . Taco Temple in Morro Bay! I'm glad they did, it was a great experience. I had made up my mind already, but they had so many specials listed, I was really tempted to sway... More

First a caveat: they do NOT take credit or debit cards so don't ask. Cash only, and the menu APPEARS spendy at first until you see that the entrees are easily large enough for two. Today we sampled the local halibut "taco" (actually an enormous planet of greens and fish fillets on steamed corn tortillas) and the carnitas, which were... More

Allow me to start with a tip: Worship, I mean, Eat here in the middle of the week, in the middle of the day. When we first had the idea to eat here, we went in the early evening. Two words: Huge Line. We left. The best worship, excuse me, eating experiences can be marred by too much time spent... More

Our friends took us to Taco Temple. It is a very laid back little restaurant with lots of customers. Their chip and salsa bar were unbelievable. The best chips that I have had in a long time. I got 2 tacos and all I can say is that you could feed 3 people with it. The food was great and... More

Very unique place right by the highway, facing the ocean. Quite good actually although certainly not authentic. They readily admits to being California fusion so quite honest there. The portion is huge! The only drawback is that they all taste similar, tomato based, same trimming, same sauce, but if you want lots of food then you would not be disappointed.

If you can eat this is the place to try. They have a carnita burrito it looks like a big wave coming in it`s the bomb. The only thing I wish was they would serve pinto beans they only have black beans in a mexican restaurant.
