We stayed in Morro Bay for four nights. Only ate here one night, at sunset, from a booth. There are only 3 and they sit a little higher. Great. We had the Portobello Stuffed Ravoil as an appetzer. Fantastic. And the Halibut, best-best I've had. With everything, bar, wine, dinner no desert, 130.00 with the tip. I left a nice tip. Absolute... more

We decided to investigate eating at the Galley after arriving at our nearby motel in the late afternoon. We saw that it was the top rated restaurant in Morro Bay and the location on the water was enticing. The sun was starting to set so we wondered if we would even be able to get a seat even on a... more

When first seated, I wasn't sure if this place would live up to my expectations. There was already a basket of 2 rolls on the table that looked slightly familar. Weren't they the sourdough ones that I purchased at the local chain grocery last week, not even heated up? The wine list was impressive and affordable. The appetizers were perfect,... more

I read the reviews before we went to Morro Bay, and we were greeted with excellent service! The meal was wonderful. We started out with crab cakes which were good but could of used a little bit more spice in the sauce. The clams and the sauce were seasoned and one of the best we have ever had. The scallops... more

There are easily a dozen seafood restaurants within a stone's throw of The Galley. The trick is to stand out among the competition. Dave Peters has managed to do that with an unusual and excellent menu coupled with a nice view of the harbor. Add in the personal touch by David and his wife, and it's an unbeatable combination. I've... more

The dining experience was wonderful. The staff were very knowledge about the food they served. If there was something they didn't know they checked it out and reported back to the diner. The food was superb - we had fish to die for! The restaurant has a CCTV camera in the kitchen so one can watch ones meal being cooked!... more

It was a wonderful dining experience, the staff were very freindly and very knowledgeable about the menu. We had a killer appitizer, ravioli stuffed with butterneut squash. The Halibut was so good and the 3 different sauses that came with it were nice. The presentation was excellent. I loved every thing about this resturant!! Beautiful views. I liked that you... more

The Galley has been a family favorite for many years but my wife and I had not visited since it was closed and reopened. Well I can safely say that the new Galley is as good if not better than the old. My wife and I ate their for our 10th wedding anniversary. We were seated in a booth with... more

Setting: the remodel is amazing and the views are some of the best in Morro Bay, the restaurant is an open floor plan that fits just the right amount of people so you don't have to yell in order to carry a conversation with friends and family. The restaurant is very lively during the weekend and I would highly suggest... more
