This used to be a great restaurant, but I'm not sure it's been cleaned in 30 years. It started in the waiting area, where there were a half dozen flies circling just inside the door. A glance at the windowsills showed bodies of dozens more. Then the water: tastes like mold, and no amount of lemon slice can cover it.... More

While watching the fading light of day behind Morro Rock, we ordered our dinner. Our daughter just had to go to GAFCO (Great American Fish Company) for a shrimp cocktail and clam chowder. So we drove from San Luis Obispo to eat at one of our favorite places. I had the seafood salad and my husband had barbequed fresh fish.... More

Since we live close to Morro Bay, we've been to the Fish Company many times, and we're never disappointed. My halibut was very good and fairly generous, and our friend Charlie was more than pleased with his calimari steak. And no complaints about the service or the prices. I've heard people whine about the cost of halibut, but thanks to... More

We really lucked out here, coming on a Friday night without reservations. We only had to wait a couple of minutes when a table in the back with a view off the bay opened up. We got to watch the seals playing in the water while the fog rolled in. I had the fish in chips mesquite broiled which was... More

Took quite a while for host to acknowledge us and then seat us. Waitress was good though. Kitchen seemed to be slow with only 1/2 full restaurant. They have scalone on menu which I very rarely see anywhere. It was fork tender and cooked to perfection. I'd go back.

We had been to this restaurant several times but it had been a while. The good was good, But paying $14 for a shrimp cocktail with 4 shrimp?! No thank you!! Waitress was rude. I'm guessing she just likes locals since we ate in the bar area and she catered to them. I won't go back. WAY to expensive for... More

My husband and I had lunch here and the food was outstanding. We had meskite flavor Fish and Chips and it was superb. When we left the restaurant, I walked past the grill and I can see the Fish and Chips being cooked right in front of me. My husband and I had a wonderful time at Moro Bay.

Cant beat the location. Dock just outside window. Waitress and busboy were outstanding. Fish and chips were fabulous. No complaints at all.

We go here most times when we go to Morro Bay. Mesquite grilled seafood is outstanding. My wife had the Alaskan Halibut and I had local Sea Bass we both had them with a caper cream sauce. The sea bass came with that sauce but my wife substituted it instead of a red pepper sauce. The sides were good I... More

My family and I returned to this restaurant after being away for 10 years and it was exactly how we remembered it. Great food and great service! We had cioppino, shrimp and chips, salmon, and chicken alfredo. We had a large party so I made reservations and we got to sit next to the fish tank and the window to... More
