Never run out of food or wine

For a small town, Morro Bay has lots of restaurants, most of them very good. There are simple restaurants and elegant ones. Italian, Japanese, fish, breakfast and lunch, and some only for dinner. Some with outdoor seating, others with views. There also are 2 wine bars, one called Staxs which... read more

Great little selection of snack type dinners. Really special, although small portions perfect for a light dinner. Excellent selection of wines, and even a few cigars. A nice little place often overlooked in Morro Bay. Affiliated with Giovanni's Fish Market. So good fish if you wish!

This has become my office go-to place when we need a relaxing stress release lunch. Last visit got to meet the owner and learn more about his passion in this place and how he runs his wine club. Each day has a different special and we are regulars either on Tuesdays (Buy 1 Get 1 half-price food items including apps... More

Went last year for beer, wine & snacks. Bruschetta was excellent, but way,way too high priced. Wine also yummy, but too pricey. This year went for two dollar mimosas. Nice!

Excellent wines and tapas, especially good because everything is so fairly priced ($2 tastes of wine). Tapas elegant and reasonably priced.

This was literally right down the hill form our hotel. Wine tasting and tasty bites. We came in the place was fairly crowded. Found a spot at the end of the bar serving area. A great guitarist was playing that night ( I think they have music twice a week). That was fun treat. Ordered oysters but they were out... More

This is a nice wine bar with friendly and knowledgable staff. It is modern looking with a full glass wall, and still feels cozy. It is located at the very end of Embarcadero - a street with gift shops, restaurants, boutiques, etc. I did not try food this time, I just tested wines, and this is where my only complain... More

We tried 4 of their small plate items including a couple of their crostini's, crab cakes and prawn cocktail and really enjoyed everything. The service was good and the selection of wines excellent.

Wine bar features mostly California wines. Nice selections and very reasonable prices. They had some wines from Paso and Santa Barbara pouring, plus some from France. Nice range. Menu features lots of local items from area shops. Saturday night $1 oysters. Waterfront location and nice service. The cheese plate and crostini are yummy. Would love to visit again and recommend.

I don't know if this is one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at, but it is a very good wine bar. The food was excellent, promptly served, and the wine was very good and reasonably priced. It was just a nice little place to visit. We would definitely recommend.
