On our way home from SF and wanted Italian. Checked Trip Advisor, my go to reference. Decided on Maurizio's and we were not disappointed. Loved the garlic and olive oil with fresh bread. The arugula salad with apples was fresh, crisp and tart. The orchietta was delicious and garlicky with fresh garlic. Not too much for me. The rigatoni with... More

Full disclosure - I know Maurizio and his family. Even before we knew them, we would head to Maurizio's regularly. Just great, authentic and flavorful fare. Try the Rotelle di Parma, the veal Saltibocca, or the Carpaccio. Wine recommendations are always thoughtful and reasonable. Well priced and great selection of old and new world. Highly recommended overall.

Maurizio's is a wonderful place for original Italian entrees. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They will make many dishes to your personal preference. Very quaint in size, not really meant for parties over 10 in my opinion.

With a trip advisor review this restaurant being the best in town, one expects something really special. The interior is somewhat outdated and the atmosphere is not that great. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is nice but not 4/5 stars. We had the bruschetta and the calamari, spaghetti and meatballs, salmon end spaghetti bolognaise. Wine is fine.... More

We returned to the Morgan Hill area for the second time in a few months, and couldn't wait to go back to Maurizio's after our previous excellent experience. We were not disappointed. We were seated immediately at the time of our reservation, and the wait staff was really on top of things. Bread and whole cloves of roasted garlic in... More

This quaint Italian restaurant is a true find and must-visit locale in this small town. Dishes were modified to accommodate food allergies and were super delicious. The homemade bread is addictive and scrumptious dipped in the locally grown huge cloves of garlic and extra virgin olive oil or in our dish's homemade marinara sauce. We enjoyed an appetizer, Involtini Di... More

I've eaten here many times over the years. It has gotten more fancy/gourmet/upscale which means smaller portion sizes and higher prices, but the quality of the food is always FRESH and DELICIOUS! I've never been disappointed here!

We had eaten here many years before and kept trying to find it when we passed through Morgan Hill and could never locate it UNTIL we used our Trip Advisor app on the Iphone. We were delighted to find it again and were pleased that, once again, the owner/chef greeted us at the door and that they had our favorite... More

Food and service was FIVE SPOONS, same as our visit last year. What was different this year is the noise level. It is a small restaurant and the tables are so close together that any loud parties detract from the food and ambiance. And the restaurant was 80% full the night we visited. Last year we ate late and there... More

Service was fabulous- attentive and very personable. The bread-- oh yum. Fresh warm crusty bread with roasted garlic and oil. This alone is worth a visit! The pasta is great- homemade and they have gluten free options. Something had gone wrong with the fryer so we were told they couldn't make the fried calamari we had ordered - but they... More
