Chicago Pizza in California - Pleasant Surprise

Don't let the location or the outside decor fool you - this was a fun, friendly, awesome food oasis. Business dinner with 3 Californians, 2 Swiss, 1 German and me - a solid Midwesterner. Staff was solid, attentive and very knowledgeable. Beer list was a surprise - plenty of choices. And the... read more

My friend and I come here about once a year and share the deep dish pepperoni and sausage! It’s the best pizza I’ve had in Moreno Valley. We always think it would be our last visit because we rarely see any customers but year after year they’re open. This last visit was no exception. Because of the lack of customers,... More

Different regional tasting Italian foods, and dishes...very close to being in Italy just sitting at a mountain villa cafe...with numerous type foods and experiences of various tastes and variety of authentic cuisines...just get there early for it's, somewhat small place, but makes up in service and flavors!

we have been to this restaurant a couple of times, with mixed groups, and have also gotten mixed help. usually it is pretty good service. the food has been great on all occasions though. we just picked up a chicago deep dish pizza today for dinner and it was great. the wait was a bit long, but all in all... The owner Dino used to work at Uno's in Chicago so he really has this down. I've lived in So Cal but grew up in Chicago. It took me almost 25 years of looking to find a good place to have "za". Hidden in plain view on Sunnymeade, I stop often on my way back from Palm Springs (since it... More

This place reminded me of Chicago but the service and the decor need some improvements. The decor, very dated. The service, a bit slow. They did explain the pizza will take some time. I say a bit slow is because the drinks were empty and I had to get their attention for refills.

Stuffed pizza usually takes 30-40 minutes to bake so I called ahead and ordered. When I arrived I said I ordered ahead and the gentleman at the counter asked my name and went to the kitchen. I asked if I could sit at the dirty booth and the waitress said yes and cleaned it. She came back to wait on... More

I have eaten at this restaurant for over 20 years now. They have the best stuffed pizza I have ever had. Our family has had the pizza for every occasion. My favorite is the pepperoni and mushroom stuffed pizza. I used to by these for work occasions also. I would drive from over 25 miles away only to take the... More

The house stuffed pizza is soooo good. If you're on a diet stay away from it its a very heavy pizza. The anti pasto salad is also really good. The restaurant itself is pretty small it has an intimate feeling and the servers are also very nice. We don't eat here often but when we do theres never any complaints.
