I've been here before and have waited a long time for a table. Obviously, the wait was worth it, or I wouldn't have returned. There are no carts at this dim sum restaurant. While there are waitstaff bringing around a few dishes and desserts, I prefer to order from the menu so the food arives hot. This time, we went... More

Let's go down to Elite for a Saturday Dim Sum brunch. Ok. Long drive to Monterey park, well worth the drive! The restaurant is on a main drag in the heart of Chinese food paradise. The dim sum was served to a bunch of us in a private room where we gorged ourselves with food and wine pairings--mostly white wines... More

Even tho I am not Asian, I have been to over 25 dim sum places in the SGV. This is the best. The Scallop Dumpling is the best dim sum item in town. The Dry Scallop Roll Fun is excellent too. There are no carts, but everything comes out fresh and generally do not stick to the tray, like in... More

Yes, it's a zoo on the weekends. The joint is jumping, but calling ahead got us a table immediately on arrival, and the great dim sum just kept on coming. Incredible variety and a myriad of sauces. Plump chicken feet, abalone in sticky rice laced with pork, you name it, they have it. Pricing is weird. Just some alphabetical code.... More

Very good dim-sum for lunch, but also long lines on weekends. Arrive early or late. Likely to go again.

After getting high marks from Yelp, Chowhound, and even the esteemed Mr. Jonathan Gold, I finally trekked to Monterey Park. Arrived there at 12:45pm, lunch hour crowd, got lucky with the parking. Waited for an hour plus to get seated. Once there, we ordered 10 items of dim sum. For 2 people, that's a lot of food. We ordered the... More

If this is dubbed the best Dim Sum restaurant in SoCal, then Asian expectation for good Dim Sum must have changed over the years. I would thought that since there is a large Asian population in SoCal, the restaurant won't serve anything that is mediocre. The overwhelmingly good online reviews is what pointed us to visit this restaurant in the... More

This was my first time trying this place, as I've driven by here many times. Definitely to the standards expected by any Chinese place. While there aren't any carts, the staff is attentive to your needs. The Har Gow and Siu Mai are good, which aren't unusual but it the comfort food served is on point. Yes, there are many... More

Followed the advice on this site and we were glad we did. Couldn't eat all the selections we wanted to try, so we took some home to eat at another time. If you are a lover of the Dim Sum experience, you will not find the normal loud din found in the inner city experience, but the food makes up... More
