Unless you go off hours be ready to wait. Specially if you have a bigger size party don't expect to be seated right away because the place is small. There's a wait for a reason. Food is very good and price is in line with very good valued eats in the neighborhood.

A solid choice for dumplings and other regional cuisine. Standars Chinese restaurant service. Nothing special designed for turn overs. Efficient and fast.its reputation equates to some waiting at rush hours. They won't seat you until your entire party is present; a reasonable treatment as long as you know it in advance and warn your stragglers. :-) The coffee tasting ribs... More

Place was packed and the wait to be seated was estimated at around 30 minutes. I ended up placing an order to go and trying the Tea Brick in the same shopping center. When I returned to my hotel around 15 minutes away the food was still very hot and very fresh. I will definitely return next time in Los... More

Dumpling is not good at all. The outside skin of the dumpling tasted like previously frozen and being heat up as you ordered it. It is so soggy and not much taste. Service is also horrible. The server is very rude and food took forever after we placed the order. When asked when our food will be ready the waitress... More

Hole in a wall. Super small. Wait is about 20 mins. Pack inside waiting outside - and they deliver in terms of YUMMINEST. Forget Chinatown. U should try here instead. Food YUM & lots. Not fancy at all but tummy happy. Super cheap too & nice service.

I said to go to the old one instead...after a few bouts of stuffing 5 big white guys in a small booth at that location, the quality of the dumplings here is just as good, so for good XLBs and what not, this one is all right for sure, at the same low prices.

First let me say: Will the owner of this business please decide on a name? The neon sign near one of the entrances reads "Mama's Lu Dumpling House," a sign on the wall says "Mama Lu's Dumpling House," and the lettering on the door reads "Mama Lu Dumpling House." Seriously!? Which is it? My girlfriend and I love Din Tai... More

Not very special, just as same as the other restaurants in Monterey Park area. They have 3 branch in Monterey Park, I love the one on Ynez Ave.

If you look past the "less than stellar" customer service, this is a great place for food. There's two entrances to the restaurant, and you have to hunt down the hostess to put down your name. The girl could be looking straight at you, but unless you tell her you're here to put your name down and get a number,... More
