This is your regular "run of the mill" dim sum restaurant. The prices are AVERAGE and so is the dim sum. They try to make the dim sum tasty with tons of MSG. Headache city! Parking on the weekends is horrible.

We, a group of 12, were seated at a large corner table on a midweek day for dim sum. Cart ladies came by at a pretty good clip with treats. Tea. Our hostess said "Yes" to many good things, including duck, baby bok choy, har gow, shu mai, chau shu bao, all the hits plus more. We loved crispy savory... More

Of all the possible dim sum restaurants in the area, we didn't know where to begin. We chose Empress Harbor from a top-ten list we'd seen, and are very glad we did. We were the only non-locals there, which is always a good sign. The food was as good as anywhere else we've been for dim sum, including San Francisco... More

On June 7, 10 AM we meet at Empress Harbor to have Diem Sum with Chinese & "local" Chinese Dignataries. If you've had Diem Sum (Chinese Tea Cakes) before, you'll want to include this restaurant on your list.

came for another wedding banquet, which seems like once every year or two, more or less. This time, I was a little disappointed with the food. Obviously, wasn't the one paying, but you come here for friends and family. If you're eating Dim Sum, it would be worth it, but regular dinner, go to a cafe for better pricing.

Expected much better given the lunchtime crowd, and the fact that it's in San Gabriel with lots of competition around. Very limited choice, horrible tea, none of the offerings were outstanding, very middle of the road. Definitely too much $$ for quality and offerings. Skip it for many more offerings in the area.

To be honest, we were about to give up to search for the restaurant before locating where it is. As recommended by our hotel staff, we paid a visit to them to look for dim sum which was not available during our cruise. Located in upper floor of a very quiet mall, it is not easy to find. The food... More

Classic dim sum. Decent atmosphere (tablecloths, etc.) Overall good service. Most cart ladies were friendly and helpful. One pushing the sweet cart was very pushy (does she work on commission or something??) Great value. I was shocked at the prices. Family of 4, ate A LOT, for $40. Can't beat that!

Huge dim sum restaurant - lots of carts with much to choose from - was a great place for a big family dinner. Friendly staff, very little English spoken (but it's dim sum, so just point and smile to order!). Unbelievably inexpensive - we fed five adults and two kids for $60.
