The pastries-such as the fabulous almond croissant- are known to be excellent but the sandwiches and drinks are divine also. My husband said he'd never had such bread before: crisp outside and moist within. He felt he'd gone to a French heaven and he is hooked!

We drove over from Carmel because their pastries were served at our hotel for breakfast. We wanted the almond croissant that I read so much about, but was missing at hotel. It was well worth the drive! Oh...This place is also A-dorable!

Beautiful classic pastries and maccarons. Sinful cake and perfect, not too sweet butter cookies. Great source for a birthday cake...worth getting a year older a a pound heavier to saor their chocolate hazelnut or chocolate raspberry pistachio cake. I like the jasmine covered porch at the Hartnell location but zoning forces them to use paper cups so bring your own... More

My friends ordered me the Frasier cake from this bakery to bring to my birthday dinner. It was super impressive and I can't say that I've ever seen a birthday cake of that caliber from any bakery in Monterey County. The genoise cake was the perfect density, the fruit was fresh and ripe, and the vanilla cream was mouthwatering. I... More

Let me start off by saying I had never heard anything about this place. I honestly don't even know how I stumbled upon this place. Everything looked good! I guess I should start off saying I got the white passion individual cake. I wanted something small but decadent to share with my husband. This cake was THEE best cake I... More

Charming place to go for coffee and treats. It has a small verandah along the front where you can bask in the sun and watch the world go by.

Located in a charming old building, antique decor like quimperware, this bakery serves the most delicious pastry, especially the almond croissants. Just bring cash because they don't take credit cards. Service was great too.

Beautiful cakes and pastries, nice strong coffee, and a lovely old building to sit in. Staff were lovely too.

The best Almond Croissants!! French Macaroons are delish! Very friendly staff! We had a little difficulty finding the place as it's kind of tucked in the side of the building and not visible from the street. It was worth the attempt in locating this fab bakery!

It's pastries, it's goodies, it's unusual (and unusually tasty) sandwiches and salads. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, blast it. The hardest part of the menu is figuring out what you don't want.
