This was a good meal for four, we had the Cobb salad, the eggs Benedict, and the chicken dumpling soup. The soup was exceptionally good, and so were the eggs. The Cobb was fine, I just do not like iceberg lettuce. Let me mention the service: it was truly exceptional. For the other reviewers who think this place has gone... More

Wondering if there has been a change of ownership at this restaurant. It has been quite good in the past. My husband and I were with family yesterday and everyone's dinner was practically inedible. I had the worst sand dabs ever and even the rice was terrible. The spaghetti and meatballs was tasteless and my husband who loves pasta left... More

We landed in Carmel hungry and ready to eat. We were told that the sand dabs and the calamari were worth stopping for. We sat down around 830pm and were pleased with the service. I ordered the sand dabs - I'd say the salad was fresh, the sand dabs and twice-baked potato was good, and the wine selection was reasonable.... More

Okay, so I am a food snob and as a self-made foodie I am a restaurant collector and will eat anywhere at least once. The Golden Tee at the Monterey airport is on the top of my list for a unique and wonderful dining experience. As my friends know, I collect bartenders as a hobby and while waiting for a... More

One thing we have learned about taking trips is that if you wanna find the best places to eat, ask a local. After spending way too much money at a tourist trap restaurant at Fishermans Wharf, we asked the lady at AAA where she would eat. She told us the locals, herself included, love the Golden Tee at the airport.... More

Yes, yes, I know it is an airport restaurant but believe me, for more decades than I care to acknowledge, the place has been the place for calamari and it still is. It is an absolute must for a calamari lover---how they make it so tender I do not know but it is superb. You can sit and watch the... More

We hadn't been able to get breakfast where we stayed the night before and so we were delighted to find this most unexpected treasure. We had a very good cooked breakfast (decent price), served by pleasant staff whilst looking out to Monterey Bay. It could not have been better and looking at the other reviews I can't wait to go... The Golden Tee is like a roadside diner or small town restaurant - and it's a gem to find at the Monterey airport while waiting for a flight. The restaurant has a full bar and wines by the glass as well. I'd recommend the mushroom burger. You know it's good when a burger is messy - and this one is!... More

We had a flight to Phoenix the other day and stopped at the Golden Tee overlooking the airport runways for lunch. This was such an experience. To watch the small and large aircraft taking off and landing while sipping on a glass of white wine and enjoying lunch at the same time.

This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise for me on a recent trip to Monterey! I found out firsthand why this is a local's choice, meeting here to celebrate a friend's birthday. A unassuming place, who's greatest quality is it's most excellent staff. I had the sea bass, always my first choice whenever it is available. Perfect portion, and cooked... More
