Calamari steaks!!

I've been going here for years, and when I was in last, I remembered why. Big healthy servings of freshly made food, and speaking of food, the biggest calamari steaks you will find anywhere on the entire peninsula. They are that good. Full service bar is also at hand, and since it's all at the... read more

We were told this was an awesome place for fish. Seemed weird, but we thought we would try it. Calamari was nice and tender, but rest of the food was disappointing - clam chowder, shrimp cocktail, salad - nothing special. Wished we had tried somewhere else.

The Golden Tee Restaurant & Bar at the Airport in Monterey is a "Hole in One" for a very good eating establishment at any airport--large or small. I do not know about you, but I never give any thought whatsoever to eating at an airport, that is, until I tried Michael Reta and Melinda Scardina's entrées at the Monterey Airport.... More

Great fish, great steak for great prices, great dinner service. This place has real food. This is definitely a hidden gem that locals know about and frequent.

We are local and have eaten here a few times, last night when we walked in the whole restaurant smelled horrible, like they cleaned with dirty water, it was really bad. The food was great and so was the service but they need to do something about the smell, if we were not with friends we would have left without... More

Golden Tee is owned by a local family and not by a vendor. I have been dining there since the 70's. It has a local homey feel and the staff is very accommodating. It's just upstairs from the main terminal. You can park in the premium parking lot right below the restaurant and they will validate your parking. They have... More

I ended up dining here at the recommendation of the Airport director. He said it was essentially a local favorite. I was skeptical, given it was an Airport restaurant recommended by the Airport director (in addition to other choices), given he was dining with me....but no regrets! Yes, it isn't in downtown on Cannery Row, but you know...who cares? Good... More

This was a good meal for four, we had the Cobb salad, the eggs Benedict, and the chicken dumpling soup. The soup was exceptionally good, and so were the eggs. The Cobb was fine, I just do not like iceberg lettuce. Let me mention the service: it was truly exceptional. For the other reviewers who think this place has gone... More

Wondering if there has been a change of ownership at this restaurant. It has been quite good in the past. My husband and I were with family yesterday and everyone's dinner was practically inedible. I had the worst sand dabs ever and even the rice was terrible. The spaghetti and meatballs was tasteless and my husband who loves pasta left... More

We landed in Carmel hungry and ready to eat. We were told that the sand dabs and the calamari were worth stopping for. We sat down around 830pm and were pleased with the service. I ordered the sand dabs - I'd say the salad was fresh, the sand dabs and twice-baked potato was good, and the wine selection was reasonable.... More
