I found the Paris Bakery Cafe by accident whilst staying in Monterey for a couple of days. What a find. The service was prompt and friendly and all the food looked mouth watering. There was so much choice for breakfast it was hard to know what to choose. Ended up going back two days in a row and also getting... More

This is not just the closest thing we have found to a French style bakery since returning from Paris, this place is actually BETTER than some of the ones we visited in Paris. If you are in Monterey, and you haven't visited this place, you are doing something wrong. I highly recommend it for that late morning/early afternoon starter or... More

We were in the Monterey area for a long weekend. I remember coming here in the past (a few years ago) but forgot how delicious all the pastries are. We actually came by twice during our visit. On one day, I got the almond croissant (probably the best almond croissant I've ever had), my son and husband each tried the... More

One of my first stops when I come to Monterey. The princess cakes are one of the best things I've ever eaten! It's always busy and always fresh. Perfect spot for a quick breakfast.

Love this cafe! This place brings good memories from Paris for us. too bad we only got to go there once right before leaving Monterey. we went there for breakfast, we tried quite a few things and they were all very good but the cinnamon twist (i think that's the name) was super, you must try it. we also bought... Walked in on Bastille Day to find a gorgeous array of delicious pastries, and people speaking French. They gave away beautiful sugar cookies in honor of the big day. We sat outside, enjoyed coffee and almond croissants. Any choice is a great choice. Reminds me of the Gayle's Bakery in Capitola, Ca. Perfect morning. Seating inside and out. Within walking... More

We were excited to come here after reading the good reviews and having travelled to Paris before. It is located near the downtown area of Monterey and wasn't too hard to find as we drove into town from SanFran. Parking is limited- we had to drive around the block a few times to find a spot along the street. It... More

We enjoyed our lunch here.......the sandwiches were delicious and we followed up with delicious pastries. There was a bit of a mixup with one of our sandwiches, but we weren't in a hurry so it was fine.
