The real thing!

We were on vacation in California but found the most amazing almond croissant identical to the ones we loved in Paris! (Only in Paris we found out they were kept back for the "regulars"). Superb bakery and lovely setting.

Do you want the pasteries and fresh french bread with take away butter, without having to fly to France...yes...then come here. The bakers are French. You can also get a newspaper to do guide right outside, and plan what you would like to do while you are here.

If you crave an authentic, old-world style bakery cafe that could easily be in Paris (hence the name, I imagine) this is your place! We stopped in for breakfast pastries coffee and hot chocolate and were blown away by the selection. Far too many delicious pastries to name here but rest assured they'll have what you're looking for. I had... More

After trying other breakfast places that were super busy, we came here. We all picked out a couple pastries, all of which were delicious. They had a large selection of pastries, cakes, cookies, and breads. I had the cherry croissant. It could use a little more filling as could the apple turnover I had. But both were super flaky. LO... We stumbled upon this cafe on our way back from Big Sur one day and are so thankful for the find! They have awesome pastries and yummy coffee. We've never actually eaten a meal here but we've always popped in for a snack or to pick up a birthday dessert. We are quite fond of their Chocolate Ganache cake (a... More

We dropped in for breakfast. Great coffee and breakfast croissants were good. Prices are fair. A few outdoor tables and plenty of indoor seating. The highlight are the baked goods! A beautiful selection of breads, croissants, cookies and pastries. If you love pastries, you should check this place out. Took an assortment of cookies and they were all delicious. The... More

I love this place, and come back every time I am in town. They make the best cobb salad - simple and delicious and their pastries - wow!

Every time we go to Monterey we have to go to this bakery. Our favorites are the Pineapple Outside-down Cake, Quiche Lorraine, and their soup of the day. Be sure to go in early though, as the Quiche Lorraine often runs out. The bakery is constantly busy with locals coming in to get their daily bread. All indicates that this... More

The food was amazing and the portions were perfect. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. It was bon chance that we stopped here as we knew nothing about it previously, since we only recently moved to the Monterey area.

This is not a good french bakery. It's just not. The pastries are horribly undercooked, flat, and floppy. The confectionery stuff looked nice, but the pastries were horrible. The espresso drinks are bad too. I ordered a cappuccino, and the milk was watery and poorly frothed. I can see that some people might like it, but it's only because they... More
